He has pretty much no vulnerabilities, so yeah. Short of Barry going back in time and aborting him, I don't know what you would do to stop him.

it's exactly that, a meme.

I thinl i remember reading a thread in which an anon argued that Mr. Fantastic was one of the strongest heroes in the marvel universe due to his intellect and the ability to increase the mass/density of any part of his body or decrease it to reach a fluid like state. Plastic man is potentially just as ingenuitive as Mr. Fantastic and can physically do anything that Mr. Fantastic can do and more, including turning himself into a bike.

True, he has an inorganic mind that isn't affected psychics and possibly magic and tech.

That's where things get weird... He was magically turned into a pig but he immediately morphed himself back into a human again. He was also turn into stone and shattered, but those pieces survived for thousands of years and he was eventually reassembled... but his molecules WEREN'T stone at that point so he bounced back from it...?

There was even one where they thought he died, but it turned out he was at home watching cartoons, and had just stretched his pinky toe across the world, and he just retracted it because it was "itchy" or something after being blasted with a fatal shot.

Nothing about a brain whatsoever. You could argue he's not human, but that's it.

What about plastic eating bacteria? Is Plastic Man immune to that?
>>
>>94221143
That's it, mister. You just lost your brain privileges!
>>
>>94221045
Taking it too literally. I'm not familiar enough with different types of plastic to know if they're made of cells, I have to admit, but natural rubber, for example, comes from trees and IS made of cells.

Now, metabolism, I admit I'm not sure on. I'm not familiar enough with plastic man to know if he HAS to eat or not. Though there is enough gray area on 'life' that he would be considered living by most scientists. By strict definitions, Mules aren't alive since they're sterile, for example. And then there's the whole thing on viruses.
>>

>>
>>94218413
It's the same as polymorphing a shapeshifter.
>>
>>94221254
That's a good point, actually. There is at least one character that can 'mind control' a living thing that doesn't have a mind. Thought you might need to find Plastic Man's equivalent to the green.

Could make for a neat new character..
>>
>>94221294
Magic can lock a polymorph into a certain state.
>>
>>94221286
Depends. Plas can reform himself some even a tiny peice of his plastic. Can Plas stretch faster than Firestorm revert him? That's a question for the writers.
>>
>>94221207
>Taking it too literally.
So, what, he's made out of morph-stuff?

>to know if they're made of cells

>Nigga cells are the fundamental particles of livings things.
And plastic is not a living thing. Most are synthetic.
>That's always been stupid, the definition for life, ever since just now in this post, has been a system that defies entropy.
The 1800s called and wants its theory back. The second law of thermodynamics only applies to closed systems in which heat cannot enter. If we expand the system to include heat from the sun, we must also include the sun. In which case, the increase of entropy thanks to the sun FAR outweighs the perceived decrease that life brings about.
>Am I talking to a highschool biology textbook?
It was obviously an example to show that the definition of life has flexibility in it so even if Plastic Man doesn't fit all qualifiers, he would still likely be considered alive.

>So, what, he's made out of morph-stuff?
I don't believe it's ever been specifically stated, but someone can definitely correct me if I'm wrong.

Plastic man has had special molecules since his conception that make him immune to almost everything that can change his molecular makeup.

There were some issues where Elongated Man tried to get fixed also and they had a easier job with him than they did with Plastic man. I guess this is why Snyder is using Plastic Man in metal, he wants to flesh out his powers a little more. Just like hes doing with Hawkmans/girl origin story.

Picture is the Justice League saving Plastic Man from the bottom of the ocean. He just reconstitutes himself once he is on dry land and acts like nothing happens.

>No, he's called himself plasticman,
He displays properties of plastic such as malleability, stretching, and melting. Its safe to assume that he is living plastic.

>>
>>94221546
Yeah exactly, your awful definition of life deems that anything producing energy is life.

What you don't seem to understand is that the exothermic nature of them is derived from our view point. On a quantum scale, electron bonds are being broken and loosing the enery used in forming the exothermic reactions.

Therefore, this is a no net gain of energy.

Therefore, there is nothing which distinguishes this from stable compositions of chemicals.

Of course there's no NET gain of energy. If you zoom out far enough there's never net gain or loss of any energy, its all going to reset with the next big bang. Just as how the net charge of the universe is 0.

Fernus was one of the most powerful enmies the JL ever fought, basically Martian Manhunter without the fire fear=ungodly alien fire monster that mind fucks everybody at once.

Thats how you know shits fucked up and the writers are in a corner, plas is literally batmans Deus Ex Machina. Plas literally exist as the "were out of fucking ideas, can you come fix this for us" plot.

It was long ago when Batman and Superman had their heart to heart and batman admitted that Plastic man scared him the most. You might be able to contain him. You might be able to delay him. But you sure as hell cant permanently get rid of him.

So he can turn into anything right? So he says fuckit and turns himself into a doomsday bomb and blows up the world. Anything does mean anything. Well its not like he can die. So he gets bored. Goes to another planet, and turns into another doomsday bomb.

Which strait virgin one of you motherfuckers wouldnt try to do that? He's god damn hero...to us t least.

Batman threatens virtually every single member of the JL in regular conversations and on plas its just a joke. WTF would batman do to him here? Annoy him with something from his utility belt?

the Wonder Women of other earths always seem to jump at the chance to become some kind of world power/overlord. Hell, in Kingdom Come she was worse than Supes, and Flashpoint is an obvious example. Thank god Plast has goofy nature, because he seriously could become living Lovercraftian nightmare if he wanted.

The thing is, organic machinery needs nutrition. You don't see wheels, axles, ball bearings etc in nature because in order for actual rotation, these components are not actually attached and would not be able to receive the sustenance needed to grow with an organism.

His total mass is limited, right? Sure he can stretch into a large surface one atom thick, but at that point, it will have less physical effect than air.

He's a fictional character, he can do whatever the writers want him to do.

Batman took him out and has him locked away

this
>>
>>94218476
The basic way of describing him is he has complete control over his molecular structure. Meaning he can manually turn himself from stone into flesh.

I mean, if I was also horribly OP I'd be a goofball too.

Last we saw of him was back when everyone was getting corrupted by the Anti-Life Equation. He was one of them.

>>94231675
No, he was around in Blackest Night. There was also a radically different version in the New 52 Human Bomb mini.

i don't have to read a comic for him to be my favorite super hero

>despite being the son of a friend and an ally, they stick with their ideals and put him to jail
>platicman: bruh you're the bad guys, do some bad guy shit like not being fair
Is there a shorter term for "you are because i call you so"? Injustice is just brimming with moments like this
>>
>>94228999
Superman is scared of fighting all the flying bricks, anon. It's not because of their danger ot him, it's because a fight with any of them tends to leave a lot of collateral. The only one that has ever successfully intimidated him is Captain Marvel because of the fact he's fucking MAGIC.

You can shift your shape all you want, when the other guys on the team can time travel by running really fast and juggle skyscrapers you're gonna have to work pretty fuckin hard to convince me you stand on their level.
>>
>>94225252
Does he technically count as alive? He seems like the creature death forgot unless he asks to hitch a ride out of the universe.

Except you're literally changing the context of what he said in the panel he posted to fit your narrative. They've clarified time and time again that MM is as strong if not stronger than Superman.

He actually did so in his Justice League Action episode. Nailed the voice too.
