The Flash is a moron. I'm pretty sure that's actually canon. Also, in the one time where Reverse-Flash didn't HAVE to keep him alive, he basically just kicked the shit out of him and was about to kill him before someone else intervened. Because Reverse-Flash is less of a moron and has some idea how to use his powers.

Ideally when something like this piques your interest you read the story to see how.

Flash vol 2 #19 gives some good insight on the Rogues if you want just one issue to do it though.

First off ignore the CW Show, its shit and Barry is an idiot. To answer your question, each Rogue is packing heavy duty technology

In physics, the faster something goes the slower it experiences time. Flash is like that. It's why people can sneak up on him, he can get punched by people that aren't fast.

The issue is when idiotic writers make it so that he DOES experience everything in slow motion.

Mirror Master has his mirror dimension, he can travel through potentially any reflective surface. That's tougher to catch than most teleporters. And then there's his realistic solid light holograms which he can have fight for him and impersonate the other Rogues to keep Flash distracted.

They've tried giving Captain Boomerang different powers over the years. His son was a speedster. He had Black Lantern construct boomerangs for a little bit during Brightest Day

The Rogues aren't really a threat. Most of Flash's rogue gallery isn't really a threat to him. With exception of Eobard Thawne & Gorilla Grodd.

Flash is pretty chummy with the Rogues. He often lets them go after foiling their robbery attempts. That's because Flash is a nice guy. In return they don't go around harming innocent people.

Central City is a lot less crime ridden than Gotham & even Metropolis. This is because Flash is there & he'll stop you way faster & easier than Superman or Batman.

He actually does. Cold's gun can actually cause anything it hits to reach temperatures as low as absolute zero. Including the air around him. He has an ability he's only used maybe once or twice called the absolute zero field which is exactly what it sounds like, a field of cold around him that causes things that get inside to slow rapidly until they hit absolute zero, stopping all movement even down to the molecular level. That's basically how he is able to fight the flash, by literally stopping his molecules.

That would kill most of the force behind it meaning it wouldn't do any damage.

You also have to consider the freezing temperatures means he could just shatter any projectiles that are lobbed at him

Neither Trickster (not Prankster) has been a threat to the Flash, and neither has ever tried to be. James was a goofball who liked to mess with the Flash and challenge him, and Axel's really just a punk kid who annoys and distracts him.

People have already gone into Captain Cold and his cold field in great detail.

Mirror Master, Weather Wizard, and the Top are extremely powerful and are genuine threats.

Captain Boomerang isn't a huge threat, but he's smart, runs interference, and in some iterations has had meta powered boomerangs.

Well actually they do, its an indication of how strong their connection is to the Speed Force. As for the DCEU Flash, its just a poor cosmetic choice. Yellow lightning looks better because it compliments the red costume and provides more of a energetic effect to the character design
