Why would the off colors be drawing so much attention to themselves? There's no way that the Diamonds don't know about them hijacking multiple ships and if they did, it wouldn't take much to blast them.

Why would they be stealing ships like that in the first place? And I can't see Steven not visiting Lars for so long that he turns into a confident badass space pirate captain with crazy adventures and a reputation without Steven having a clue.
