There's been a magic dog who became Timmy's pet for a while that everyone hated. I mean everyone fucking HATED him. They quickly got rid of him. And now there's a girl he has to share his fairies with.

Also there was a special before the dog where Jorgen realized that time for Earth had stopped, and he tracked it back to Timmy and realized the kid stopped time so he'll never grow up. When asked how long time for Earth has been stopped Timmy reveals it was fifty years ago.

I always found it weird people consider The Boy Who Would Be Queen Trixie to be a tomboy. Like, that's a real stretch, she has an unusual interest (comic books, dead frogs) but its never really played up to the level of being a tomboy. She still prefers to get her nails and hair done at a salon even in the same episode.

If you want to draw a comparison to the other girls, Vicky and Tootie have actually done things that have involved getting their hands dirty. Tootie had a boy-like disguise once. Vicky had an interest in anime. It's not like its ever intended for any of them to have a deeper side, it's just funny out of character situations, like a little girl beating up a sockpuppet army that the show's Darth Vader lost too, to basically catch you off guard about these characters. I think Timmy/Trixie shipfags were always just looking into the show way too much.

But to answer your question, no, Trixie got pretty terrible and annoying as the show went on.
