So how the fuck is Marvel going to hope to avoid a huge fucking backlash/crash come September/October?
Even if Legacy is just a "band aid"; how can they fucking last the six-eight months until the next relaunch that is supposed to be the "real" fix?
Simple:
Sales boost for the first issues of "Legacy" (they are going to be including a TON of variants and gimmick covers and the regular covers/gimmick covers will be counted individually to let them juke the sales numbers for Legacy)
(The Generations is going to be a lost cause at this point, and Marvel kind of knows it)
Its also why they are restoring the old numbering and why they are for books near big milestones: they plan on getting a second big boost sales when the books hit #600, #700, #800.
The length of time Legacy will last will be however long it takes them to hit the big anniversary #. After that, expect another round of #1s to boost sales again, as Marvel has NO fucking intention to fix shit, so long as that worthless sand nigger cunt is around.
Standard MO is 12-18 issues then reboot with a new #1 to boost sales.
So they will ride out the cataclysmic sales, over-ship books again to retailers who don't want their social justice garbage, rig the numbers with loot crate deals, and relaunch again come next fall.
They are a Disney propaganda wing and don't have to make money. They can actively LOSE money for all Disney cares.
Marvel is irrevocably lost. Better to just make a clean break and move on than hoping they get their act together. Because it will never happen now that they have Mickey Moue money.

I doubt they will over-ship.
Comic shops went ballistic and more to the point, Diamond had to take a raping to calm down comic shops after Marvel told them to fuck off. Basically Diamond had to agree to give shops that were overshipped SJW books they could not move, several months worth of deep discounts on new book orders that would have crippled most companies.
Marvel has the Spider-Man books and X-Books (which they ended up having to relaunch after their burial of the X-Books backfired on them big time) to keep them afloat financially.
