That said, while people keep saying the Stark Tech ruined Homecoming for them, I think it really hammers home the difference between the MCU and 616, most notably the absence of the Fantastic Four.

Think about it, in the comics, Pete's more advanced suits are made of unstable molecules with Reed's help, he hangs around with Johnny and ASM #1 is an FF crossover, in the MCU Stark pimps the suit, he hangs around with Happy and the whole thing's more of an Avengers crossover.

I just want to know why the rooted suit was so quick to go into killmode all the damn time.

Like, it was obviously meant as a recurring joke but it raises questions as to what Tony's eventual plans are for Pete's future.

I find it odd that so many people hated the Stark Tech since the entire point of the movie was basically shitting on Spidey using the tech and making him competent the instant it's tossed aside.

I mean, a movie where a kid hero needs to face the lesson of, "I need to think logically, I can't just use my powers or tech as a crutch to win fights" is way more refreshing than another origin story, a "end of the world" story, or "learning how to use your powers" story.

But that lesson makes no fucking sense. Iron Man 1 - 3 and beyond showed us that anyone, ANYONE, could use Stark tech with ease to solve all their problems. In IM3, fucking PEPPER POTTS uses a broken Ironman gauntlet to save the day.

Iron Man 1 + 2 both have villains trying to use Iron Man-esque tech and end up getting out strategized.

Iron Patriot was competent with it because he's a soldier, he already thinks logically enough for a fight against a drunk Tony. And he only got better and more adjusted to the suit since then.

Also, didn't Pepper still do some strategy based stuff in that scene? She didn't just go, "SUIT, TAKE HIM OUT FOR ME". She actually tried to fight and kick a bomb and blow it up herself with the gauntlet.

The problem with Spiderman's method is that he would literally just go, "Hey little Spidey robot, tell me how many people there are. Karen, tell me the best method of approaching them. Basically, just do all the work for me, you can decide the settings!".

All I've wanted since I watched the movie was to see how the symbiote interacts with her.
