Having a spider character use guns seems somehow redundant. In

You know what would be unstoppable? A Spider-Man with a sniper rifle.

Think about it, just sticks to the side of a building, takes out the rifle and BAM, kills his target and webslings away.

When a character has a gun, guaranteed they will never hit the hero with a single bullet because it would kill them, but f they are just using their fists they can trade blows.

A) None of the spider family is remotely as powerful as Peter. Characters like Miguel and Kaine have never pulled the same feats of agility and strength as Pete did in Grim Hunt or Origin of Species.
B) The Venom symbiote was rarely at full strength for Flash. The first half has him preventing the bond through metered uses, and the second has him chemically castrate it as much as possible.
C) Back to the bonding issue, considering that most of Flash's rogues gallery can be taken out with a healthy administration of lead, it'd be better for him to use weapons instead of dipping too far into becoming Venom

No reason for him to have the abilities of Venom, Punisher goes toe to toe with supers all the time, and he doesn't have a symbiote but does the same fucking shit

The story hinges on the interaction between Flash and the symbiote along with the history of both of the characters, so yeah, Venom being there is kinda important. If you just want to see big baddy Venom go smash people with a pants on head retarded story instead, why not read that absolute abortion of creative talent and character potential that is Venom Vol 3.
