the thing about the crap pop music from the past 4 or so years that makes it so much more enraging than the crap pop of the 10 before is how it's so goddamn serious, so full of itself, so pretentious, when all it is is radio filler pop shit

the production isn't minimalist, it's lazy
the singing isn't depressed, it's narcoleptic
the melodies aren't low, they're dead
the lyrics aren't "woke", they're pointless

these turds aren't SONGS, they're the ghosts of songs - without life, without feeling, a shade of what could be, and what once was. the pop of 2016 may be some of the worst i have ever and will ever experience
