You get to be a research assistant for one of them, which one do you pick?
>>
>>94051933
>Waitng list

also why did they ban Doof?
>>
>>94051933
The one that'll get me closer to bang xj9
>>
>>94051997
are you kidding? they don't need their lab blowing up. Dexter also has to overcome this before he can join
why Donatello isn't already in, I don't know. For that matter, half the Marvel universe and a couple DCs too
the real question is why Wily and Eggman are allowed in there. I could see Rick tolerating their shit, but would Ford or Wakeman really work alongside them?
>>
>>94051933
wakeman's probably the most reasonable
>>
>>94052149
definitely Dr. Wakeman
>>
>>94051933
probably Nora Wakeman like several others have mentioned
>>
The majority of those scientists will get you killed, either intentionally, through negligence, or by accident. Wakeman might be the most reasonable, so she's probably the smartest choice.

If not her, Dr. Membrane. You'll die, but in the glory of SCIENCE.
>>
>>94051933
Frink probably. His inventions are the coolest. Flying motorcycles, teleporters, autodialers that sprout robot legs so they can get back home if put in the wrong hands..
Ford would be okay too. Basically, someone jewish.
I'd love to help out The Brain but he's kind of a dick
>>
>>94051933
I think Frink would be the only tolerable one, plus I'd be less likely to die and his inventions are pretty awesome
>>
If they fought who would win?
>>
>>94052149
>>94052191
>>94052213
She's the least likely to kill you or get you killed
>>
>>94053011
Rick. Do you really have to ask that? Rick with Ford as a close second. The rest of the would lose to the fucking mouse, they're so flimsy.
>>
>>94053011
It's gonna be a three way fight between Rick, Wakeman (well, Jenny defending her until Wakeman goes into full attack mode), and Membrane. Everyone else will have their machines blow up in their face.
>>
>>94051933
Wakeman undoubtedly.
Not only is it the safest option, it also gives you the opportunity for some clang clang.
>>
>>94051998
>>94053082
Why do you assume Wakeman would be ok with you fucking her daughter
>>
>>94053075
if we're allowing friends to assist, that's fucking different. Zoidberg would protect Farnsworth to the bitter end, and Gaz would just subtly sabotage anyone trying to hurt her dad... assuming she could take them seriously.

I'm just taking that anon at face value. he said a FIGHT, not a science-off. Obviously if it comes to that, Farnsworth is fuckin UP there, yeah. Though not if the contest requires him to survive in order to be considered a winner.
>>
>>94052149
>>94053040
>>
>>94051933
Eh, probs Ford. Sounds like I'd get to go on the most adventures with the least risk.

Rick and Farnsworth would leave you to die in a heartbeat (Farnsworth canonly has lol)
Eggman and Dibs dad are too zaney for my taste, don't know enough about the rest of them to comment.

Obviously Wakemen, she literally builds waifus.

Wily just so i can reprogram Zero to NOT be a maverick.
>>
>>94053924
I thought maverick was like a species or something. Honestly I had trouble understanding X's weird metaphorical shit and deep anime story.. and I usually love those.
I'm more of a DASH guy.
>>
>>94054159
Mavericks are reploids infected by the Maverick Virus which originated in Zero. DASH is actually in the same canon as the X series.
>>
>>94054449
Right, so... you can reprogram someone to not be infected by a virus?

Dr. Wily.
>>
>>94054633
Yes it's possible to remove a virus from a machine.
>>
>>94051933
With Rick, you're basically another Morty to him except with less value. Expect to be left for dead at any point
Ford is an eccentric fuck who's kind of cold
Farnsworth is an old looney who would accidentally kill you
Frink is basically Farnsworth except he has a dumb Jewish voice
Wakeman would be the safe bet, assuming you're not a teen like jenny but you are
Membrane would end up using you for his experiments in the name of SCIENCE
Wily and Eggman would slave you away
The Brain wouldn't need an assistant to take over the world, just Pinky
>>
>>94054633
Also the virus originated in Zero, was contracted by Sigma (who was the Maverick Hunter commander) and then Sigma unleashed on the world thus begining the X series.
>>
>>94054719
Okay but would you call that reprogramming?
>>
>>94054751

In what way? He's a little bit cavalier about going into deadly danger, but he seemed warm and genial to me. Especially for such a nerd.
>>94054789
wow, that sounds dumb. I'm going to headcanon that isnt canon, until I hear more to change my mind.
>>
>>94054791
Well in the canon it would be...difficult. Zero is Wily's answer to X. He used the same process Light used by conversing with Zero during the build. But then Zero acted violently and Wily sealed him away for 100 years

No he means IN Zero the character, not Zero the series, Zero was a trap to destroy Lights legacy on multiple levels which has its effects spreat hundred if not THOUSANDS of years into the future.

Remember Wily was the better engineer, Light the better programmer and not only due "MUH .Exe", the MM2 Robot masters are explicitly stated to be superior to the MM1 in basically every way.

He also apparently goes full on BRAIN UPLOADING and is still alive.

It is easy to make fun of Wily because he loves his THEMED ROBOT MASTERS but he is dangerous as fuck.
>>
Ford because I might end up in a dangerous situation, but he wouldn't sell me up the river like most of them.
Wakeman because she's safe and sane and I can hit on her or her and/or Jenny.
>>
>>94054863
The blue jewel on Zero's head contained the original Zero Virus that became the Maverick Virus. Remember that he almost ripped Sigma's head off.

when have the TMNT ever not been adults? Prior to the retarded current series I mean where they're all severely braindamaged.
>>
>>94054993
Straight fisticuffs, sure, but Rick would find a way to bite or nard-kick or use the environment against everyone. It's impossible for him to lose. In a FAIR fight, obviously Ford's the most fit and brawly.
>>
>>94055055
>when have the TMNT ever not been adults?
It's in the name, dude.
>>
>>94055025
Are you saying X-series Zero looked gay or Zero-series Zero looked gay?

Also I don't have the pic but I'm still pissed that in early concept art Omega was literally X-series Zero, the original body.

Again, when have teenagers not been adults? This millennium, that's when. as 80s teens raised by a martial arts master in isolation, they have been adults for a while, and have always been depicted that way. self-sufficient, independent, stable adults with mature thought-processes and complete personalities.

.. i mean except in the silly original cartoon, but look at other adults in that show. They still come out significantly ahead.

He seems callous from time to time, but only because he's so out of touch and perspectiveless. Brain's schemes aren't stupid! They're brilliant in their simplicity! They just always have one tiny flaw that leaves a window wide open for idiocy to ruin everything, and then he has an idiot for a sidekick because.. as a lab mouse, his options are limited.
then as we find out, Pinky's actually much more brilliant, it's just he's unable to use it in any constructive way. and even when his intelligence was raised artificially, he was too emotional to really help Brain. and even when he took over the world with pure emotion (just asking the world leaders nicely if he could have the world, and they said yes), he left a big hole open for Brain to ruin it by not realizing he'd blundered into the classic sitcom situation where you were so busy planning a secret party that they think you forgot about them
>>

I think this group is a bit more about MAD science
Wakeman's a bit less mad than some, but she did make a robot TEENAGER

no, the real question is why Prof. Utonium isn't there. He probably refused. Didn't have time, yknow? Busy with the girls.
Thaddeus Venture was invited but turned it down, both failing to see the madness in his own science, and thinking they were a bunch of lame-o dorks he shouldnt associate with

I guess you must hate Back to the Future Part II too, since Marty McFly didn't "LEARN AND GROW" by being forced to stay in the awful future he could stop from happening. Totally a millennial thing, that movie written in the late 80's.
>>
>>94059949
But again: Jack essentially killed trillions of people when he killed Aku in the past. I swear /co/ forgets the Grandfather Paradox whenever it doesn't fit their headcanon.
>>
>>94060015
He didn't kill them, destroying someone's plane of existence is different, they have nowhere to go. He merely aborted them. Its not like he could bring them with him, that would double the population of the planet.
>>
>>94060015
Even if you accept that what you're saying is true, I still think Jack made the right choice, or at least, he made the HUMAN choice. Everyone that was ever born and lived after the point of divergence suddenly stops existing, quickly and painlessly. The circumstances that brought them into such a horrible, painful existence never arise, and there is no chance of them ever having to endure it ever again, if they are ever born into this new post-Aku world. Admittedly, it seems like there's a slim chance they'll be born at all- after all, the entire world and its circumstances have completely changed. But even so, if they do beat the odds and it DOES happen, they'll be happier. If they don't, they'll never know and it won't matter.

In exchange for this, Jack gets his whole world back. He saves everyone he personally knew in the past from certain, painful death. Bear in mind, Jack was a civic-minded person with a strong sense of justice, but it never seemed to me that he actually much LIKED living in the future. He did the best he could under the circumstances, even made friends out of necessity, but they weren't his REAL friends, from back in his own time. Given the choice, it's not surprising at all that he'd chose the world he thought he'd lost over the world he never wanted to begin with.

He made the choice any of us would have made, in that situation.

magic fucked up the world, magic sent someone from the past into the future.. just going "oh well, we'll deal with things as they are" is the dumb lazy millennial attitude, if anything.
>>
>>94060142
>He made the choice any of us would have made, in that situation.

Fuck that shit, i would've forsaken the past for the opportunity to build a better future. Plus Jack and Ashi were immortal so le heat death meme.
>>
>>94051933
Robotnik or Rick Sanchez.

I don't want to live past 60 years anyway.

Fuck getting old and fuck living forever.
>>
>>94051933
Rick will leave me to die
Ford is the best choice
Farnsworth, my death is gaurenteed, and will contain no dignity whatsoever
Frink means having to exist near Springfield, which is a fate worse than death
Wakeman is the second best since it allows me to study waifu engineering
Membrane is out since the Zim universe would be terrible to live in
Wily means I learn to build shitty gimmick robots
Eggman would be neat but I'd betray him in a week to live my childhood dream of being friends with sonic
Brains plans always fail
>>
>>94060193
>I would've forsaken the past for the opportunity to build a better future

Most people aren't misanthropes willing to condemn all their friends and family to horrible deaths in the name of some vague "better future", but to each their own, I guess.
>>
>>94060220
>Wily means I learn to build shitty gimmick robots

Implying Zero and Bass were gimmicks

he's profoundly unwise and he puffs up his knowledge in areas where it isn't (he isn't really a doctor, for one thing), but he's still an inventing genius. That's kind of the point, as a wunderkind desperate to get away from his fucked up upbringing, he didn't bother actually studying anything, and he dropped out of college when his dad died.
But he still has an innate understanding of shit that would "uh.. can you repeat that in english?" most people. The fact that he's so good at faking so much says a lot about the kind of intelligence he has.

the spider mech he built basically from a kit so that means nothing, but don't forget he invented G.U.A.R.D.o. from scratch, and that guy would have worked had he not been activated by someone else prior to having his friendly faces program uploaded.

then you look at that ray shield business.. I mean.. yeah, he lazily put it off til the last minute, and did everything in a haphazard, almost Mexican-tier unsafe way, but he fucking BUILT it. it WORKED. Now.. his slapdash attempt to cure the mutation side-effects by just throwing every drug he had handy together... that didn't work, and he was gullible enough to think it did.. but just like he's gullible enough to think teddy ruxpin is a real guy talking to him on the phone, it's because shit more insane than that happens to him every day. He just has no standards by which to judge it. That's part of the genius, too. He's not restrained by common sense, so when met with a problem he can just 'science it away' as long as he's in a good mood and not a pool of self-loathing that day.
like that thing he invented that regenerates damaged livers... and then.. you just have more and more livers forever. That's real science!
>>
changing the past gives the people in the future a better present.

what's this bullshit he should just deal with the hellworld that is aku
>>
>>94060248
So you'd bulldoze a burnt forest instead of letting nature heal? You're a far bigger asshole than i am.
>>
>>94060142
To put it another way, the original timeline should rightfully get precedence over the one Aku made by postponing his own otherwise-inevitable gods-intended death. Everything that happened after he tore open a portal in time was the divergent timeline, all the people (say, ol' Utonium) who would have been born otherwise, he aborted THEM. Jack just reset things and made sure they would all be born this time. The alternate timeline exists only to facilitate that.
>>
>>94060279
If I know I can literally go back and time and stop the forest from being burnt in the first place? Yeah, I'd do it.
>>
>>94060270
You can't change history, only create new alternate realities. The past has already happened, and all you can do to change fuck all is by altering events to create a new reality.
>>
Membrane seems like the kind of guy who wouldn't mind if I fucked around most of the day as long as we finished what we needed to get done.
>>
>>94060015
>Total crackpot. Half his inventions don't even work, the other half shouldn't work.
>>Farnesworth
>Hell no. Possibly the most dangerous person in this image.
>>Ford
>A cool guy, but has a reckless Indiana Jones approach to science that will more than likely get you killed or maimed.
>>Rick
>You couldn't pay me enough to even consider it.
He only erased Ashi because she was half Aku herself. I assume everyone else just gets "good end".
>>
>>94060142
what's more, you notice that along the way, he makes sure never to fuck anyone over in the name of 'oh well i'll go back and they'll never exist anyway'
EVEN IF it would guarantee him getting back in time, he never let anyone be hurt or even put in danger, because he couldn't be certain that going back in time would even successfully destroy Aku, and he was that much of a hero. (and because it Gilligans Islands the plot nicely.)
Only when he was damn sure he was going to die anyway was he ready to just give it a shot. It's also funny that guardian guy refused to let him use THAT portal, and.. maybe he wouldn't have won in the past without Ashi, who knows? If so, the dark future would have continued, only even worse.
>>
>>94060298
Holy shit you are a DENSE motherfucker. Nature will burn a forest if it has grown to wild. You're essentially telling the planet to go fuck itself anon.
>>
>>94060193
Jack's immortality was a symptom of being unstuck in time. The universe refused to let him age because he did-not-belong-there that hard. Nevermind how little sense that makes, time itself is saying it was wrong for him to be there.
Time was apparently merciful enough to let Ashi briefly exist long enough for a paradox not to rip everything in half since Aku sort of kills himself three ways at once (but might have died anyway had he done nothing)
>>
>>94060320
How the hell did I fuck up that post this bad?
>>
>>94051933
Rick is a dick. I don't know the guy to the right of rick, Farnsworth is old and will probably die, Simpsons scientist is useless, Jenny's mother isn't useful and the scientist from Invader Zim isn't useful. Dr.Willy is liable to get you shot by a robot.

Dr.Eggman seems pretty cool and he can give you cyborg immortality something Willy hasn't come close to.
>>
>>94060336
You're letting yourself get carried away with your own metaphor. I'm saying that given the choice, anyone with an ounce of human compassion would choose to save the people they actually know and care about over the people they don't, if they're faced with a situation where they can only choose one group. That's exactly what Jack did. Maybe it wasn't the most selfless decision, but it was definitely the most human one.
>>
>>94060251
he built Forte? somehow I always thought that guy was an anomaly from somewhere else. like I could see him building Enka, but... anything with a music name theme I figured was a stolen Lightbot or something else
>>
>>94060251
2 out of all of the robot masters is a pretty lame success rate. I like wily but eggman and wakemans styles appeal to me more.
>>
>>94060383
Wily stole Protoman from Light.
>>
Brain's got Pinky
Wily and Eggman are losers
Invader Zim sucks
Wakeman would probably be boring, she doesn't do much inventing after XJ9
Frink and Farnsworth are idiots
Never watched Gravity Falls
Rick would let you die without a care
>>
>>94060279
Bad analogy, anon. What Jack did is like going back and stopping the forest from being bulldozed, while it was still only a little on fire. Later on it was bulldozed AND on fire. like the dead trees were on fire, on the ground.
By the way, we DO knock down trees in a fire to keep it from spreading sometimes.
>>
>>94060369
There's a fine line between compassion and trying to play God.
>>
>>94060304
>You can't change history,
You can if timetravel exists and has sent you into a particular future, which, by going back, you will stop. That's just how timetravel works. It's probably why it doesn't exist.
>>94060015
I think trillions is exaggerating. It's been, what, 1000 years? Aku's wiped out huge swaths of humanity, and a bunch of random aliens have showed up. Aliens who, by the way, will have better lives once Jack fixes the past. They'd all be born anyway, just elsewhere.
>>
>>94051933
Wakeman. The chance at robot pussy is too tempting.
>>
>>94060348
did you perhaps have part of something highlighted when you hit the post number? that pastes what you had highlighted for some reason
>>94060349

yeah only in the gay archie series. canon eggman is going to imprison you inside one of his robots and you will basically be somewhere between the hamster in the wheel and some kind of matrix pod situation

>>

>Traps you in your body for decades because he thinks it's funny
>>
>>94060433
I can see where you're coming from, but personally, I don't think saving his family and friends was trying to play God, unless you believe that Aku's victory and the future he created was the world's God-given destiny.
>>
>>94051933
I actually know the guy who drew that image
Met him at a con and bought a print of it
>>
>>94060406
yeah so i figured if he stole blues surely forte had a similar origin
>>94060400
be fair, wakeman's success rate is 1 out of 9. It might be better to be Sheldon's assistant. Dude built a robot suit in his garage with a box of scraps AND successfully wooed a cute robot girl with it. goofy as that show was, that was a great concept.
>>94060433
playing? he got THROWN into the future. When zeus drops a fucking lightning bolt in your lap, do you just leave it there for a bad guy to use? or do you aim it at that bad guy
>>
>>94060492
VG Wily meaning you help create the robot that did what X couldn't.
>>
>>94060505
In fact we know for a fact it wasn't, since he literally got his sword from the gods who were fighting the greater entity whose toenail-clipping aku comprises. They were basically like "We missed a spot. Hey, mortal, uh.. sorry for dropping that on your planet, here's something to clean it up with. Okay, have fun"
In that scenario, do you wait a thousand years to clean it up once the mess is so insane that it's irrevocably fucked up the planet in a way that it probably can't even support life longterm? or do you go back and do it immediately

god that just makes me think of the future of earth in half-life. they really wrote themselves into a corner
>>
>>94060520
If the lighting bolt is Ashi with Aku's powers and Ghost Scotsman then it's simple: Three pronged attack and Aku is kill.

He's smart... When he wants to be. He's just thinking for himself or how to make money. The orphan brain box, the cloning tech, and that massive deflector shield no one else seemed to be able to successfully build.

He just has so many things wrong with him that it outweighs anything good.

>>94051933
Ford, easy.

Look at him telling Rick that the handheld portal device is even more dangerous than the relatively stable full-size model back in Gravity Falls. And Rick knows that Ford's math checks out but he just doesn't wanna hear it.

And Ford is likely to hear me out on my plan to salvage alien ship tech to build robot waifus, that I will of course sell to him as advanced data gathering and analysis units that I will only program with waifu protocols after the fact. Yeah there are more obvious choices for robot waifus, but I want to be there when Ford realizes that a robot waifu is something he didn't know he wanted.
>>
>>94062276
stable? the fucking thing sucks anything into it like Kirby!
>>
>>94062357

You think Rick's portal gun doesn't have suction just because you can't see the effects in three spatial dimensions? Portals SHOULD have a crazy suction vortex. That means the phenomenon exists locally. No suction means no containment, and that should give you a hint to how Rick built a handheld model.

I wish I was saying Rick's a hack. That would be better than him knowingly sacrificing a cumbersome containment module for the sake of portability. But I guess that's what happens when you don't care about yourself or anyone else.

Never mind all that waifu shit, she's a robotics expert who isn't comic book evil. Ford's just a cosmic hitchhiker, Frink's a dweeb, and with everyone else you'll end up dead.
