>Ha ha, Bart's got a girlfriend!
>No I don't, that's the problem!
>Ha ha, Bart's got a problem!
zombie simpsons has still had a few moments.
Anyway, post Simpsons quotes
>>94036451
>"Let's say some Gangster.. Is dissin' your flygirl.--Give 'em one a' these!"
>"If school failed me, does it have to go to Summer Jimbo?"
>If my father marries your mother, Marge, we'll be brother and sister! And then our kids...!
>They'll be horrible freaks with pink skin, no overbites, and five fingers on each hand!
>Turning to the 3D map, we see an unmistakable cone of ignorance.
>Mmm.. sure, steak.
>/co/ hates the Simpsons
>literally everyone else enjoys them
Really makes u think

co hates post s08 Simpsons
>>94037335
Everyone used to hate the Simpsons, but in the past few years people started liking it again and /co/ is always late to these things.
A lot of people only knowing about modern simpsons through "best moments" youtube clips is a part of it
>There's the Hammock Hut, that's on third. There's Hammocks-R-Us, that's on third too. You've got Put-Your-Butt-There, that's on third. Swing Low Sweet Chariot, matter of fact, they're all on the same complex; it's the hammock complex on third.
>The hammock district!

That performance is just awe-inspiring.
>"We don't have bums in our town, Marge, and if we did, they wouldn't rush, they'd be allowed to go at their own place."
>"STOP HIM! HE'S SPOSE'DA DIE!"
>"Homer, if you wanna kill someone on the way out, that'd be a big help."
We can't bust heads like we used to. But we have our ways. One trick is to tell stories that don't go anywhere. Like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe. So I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on them. "Gimme five bees for a quarter!", you'd say. Now where was I? Oh, yeah. The important thing is that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones.

It depends on who you ask, some people go up to S16
>>94037406
Depends on who you ask. Usually, most agree Zombe starts at season 10 or 11. Some place the begining as early as season 5. Others say it only really went bad in later seasons like say 16. The change to HD was the absolute point of no return.
>>94037568
>Some place the begining as early as season 5.
but season 6 was the peak
>>94037335
Who the fuck is giving 4chins 3 stars?
>>94036451
The Simpsons was less funny in 1989 than it was in 2009.
I mean it wasn't particularly funny in either but the image is idiotic.
>>94037594
Those guys say season four was the peak and just went downhill immediatly. Hell, some more radical fans think the show wasn't good past season 1.
You see, back in those days, rich men would ride around in zeppelins, dropping coins on people. And one day, I see J.D. Rockefeller flyin' by so I run out of the house with a big washtub. Anyway, about my washtub. I just used it that morning to wash my turkey which in those days was known as a walking bird. We'd always have walking bird on Thanksgiving, with all the trimmings. Cranberries, 'injun eyes and yams stuffed with gunpowder. Then we'd all watch football, which in those days was called baseball.

Actually I've just looked at a list of episodes from 2009 and I'm not convinced there was a single laugh in 2009 or 1989.
>This year I invested in pumpkins. They've been going up the whole month of October. And I got a feeling they're gonna peak right around January. Then, BANG. That's when I'll cash in.
>I call it "Billy and the Cloneasaurus!"
Oh, you have got to be kidding sir. First, you think of an idea that has already been done, and then you give it a title that nobody could possibly like. Didn't you think this through...
...was on the bestseller list for eighteen months! Every magazine cover had it...
...MOST POPULAR MOVIES OF ALL TIME SIR! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!?
...
I mean thank you, come again.

I disagree with the HD thing. I'm in that group of people who thought 15 to 20 is the worst and the HD episodes are an improvement.
>>94037980
We'll have to agree to disagree. I feel like season 15 to 20 episodes are a lot more poorly conceived, but have an occasional moment that's kind of funny. HD seasons, what I'v seen anyway, are just dull the whole way through.
>>94036451
I watched the one where Mister Burns tries to make a for profit college, from the latest season.
Legitimately good.
>>94038092
No, I totally get that. In fact that's the major argument for which you prefer from what Ive seen. I really like that the show went a lot more grounded again and less wacky, and dailed back the main cast, but I know a lot of people just find it boring now and say the laughs are gone.
>>94038348
Homer's movie-inspired teaching was glorious.
>"Fish for a dime, my friend. Fish for a dime."
>S1-S2
>Still finding their footing, but good humor to be had. Tried hard to have a lesson/moral at times.
>S3-S6
>What many consider to be Golden Age, top notch humor and heartwarming blah blah blah
>S7-S9
>Things starting to turn to modern simpsons, but still pretty good stuff
>S10-S13
>The last era of halfway decent simpsons, hardcore shift to celebs and modern references, writing starts to go downhill
>S14-onward
>Zombie simpsons
That's how I look at it.
>>94037568
It was definitely still funny until Season 17 at least.
>>94038348
The Simpsons has had some legitimatly great episodes lately.
There was one where it shows how the Simpsons would have aged during the 90's and 2000's without the sci-fi gimmicks, and it was incredibly well done.
>>94036451
mfw even that image is almost 10 years old
>>94040415
>>94040340
The problem is the good episodes are too far in between unfunny episodes and that the greatest problem of Simpsons nowadays. It's just not as funny as it was and i say that as someone who ,apparently as i read this thread,is very lenient and enjoyed the "Zombie Simpsons" period between Season 13 to 17,army of cameos included
>>94040445
I love how the highest point after the movie is "Moe gets a cell phone."
>>94040462
I dont think so, I'd say Simpsons is often "adequate" and the other half of the season is good or bad. Your love of the show falls on if you like or dislike the chunk of adequate ones
>>94040445
For those wondering, the episode that aired on November 11 in 2001 was "The Parent Rap", the episode with that really harsh Judge Judy-like character.
