What really bothered me was the AvX fallout.

Everyone who had decided to stay on Utopia either joins Scott in the middle of nowhere, scatters to the winds, or (in the case of all the kids) goes to the JGS without complaint despite how pointless the school seemed to them.
Utopia might as well be non-canon.
The island is completely abandoned until Bendis decides to make a random group use it as a base while they're being retarded villains for a single fucking issue.

See I loved Simone Bianchi's art. He is an Italian artist who lives in Lucca, Italy.

In addition to drawing comics, he teaches art anatomy classes. His work is very Hellenistic.

Hellenistic art is all about realism filtered through dynamic, expressive figure drawing. It's definitely a style where dynamic aesthetics trump all else.

Outside of that there's the X-men anime where she plays a big role. It was a pretty solid watch I think ellis wrote the script for it.

To answer your question for real though you have to keep in mind. It's supposed to be a metaphor for puberty and finding your place in the world just as much as it is the whole racism thing. A lot of people forget that.

Also, also it was mostly just pretense to give them a vague goal and reason to be heroic. Sort of like their "With great power comes great responsibility" the mutant hate was NEVER meant to get this much focus or get this bad. The dream was never a narrative goal it was just a reason to fight for right.

Because originllay in the claremont years the "hated and feared" part was a stand in for homosexuals and very rooted in the US 80s.

Then morrison happened,, who looked at these "hated and feared" "mutants", saw them as perfectly normal people, and boldly declared "these guys are the mutant 1%. almost all mutants are just deformed freaks or have irrelevant powers" which Marvel didn't like and pulled Age of M to solve it.

After Age of M sweeped that aside and they doubled into the oppressed minority idea people began to draw paralels to race issues.

More realistically, they would be hated and feared because you never know when the mutant next to you may spontaneously explode and take a city block with him.

Because Schism was a editorial mandate or writer soft reboot, depending on who you ask.

Basically it goes like this:

1. Messiah saga ends with a blast. Everyone is happy with the direction it went. Just in time for Marvel to start to lose cohesion
2. new team of writers and bendis sets in, says "hey these X-Men aren't like the one's I remember! Where's the x mansion?" and decides to bring them back to tried and true formulas (promptly ignoring almost everything that happened after New X-Men). In order to justify it, Schism happens, followed by WoTG.
3. Brass forces AvX for reason's I can't remember and thoroguhly fucks the franchise as no one has a real way to accomodate literal world ending events.
4. Le benis pulls some favours with corporate brass and tries to force ANOTHER soft reboot by bringing back the O5 and starting from scratch. Editorial fumbles, hard, and the O5 can't be removed nor made the main characters, so they stay in order to further mess with everyone's plots even further
5. By this stage marvel's editorial, brass AND writer staff is in shambles and no one know show to fix the X-Men

The worst part of this was fucking over X-Force, which was starting to grow into a big deal. If benis had any sort of vision, he would have cashed in on it instead of bringing his own ideas.

That list is good for Modern X-Men, except for Schism which is terrible.
Wolverine and the X Men isnt great, but it may be your thing if you want a "quirky" book about teens with superpowers in highschool with wolverine as teacher. Avengers vs XMen isnt good but is a must read due to its importance. The same goes for House of M, althoughh House of M is a much better event. Id even say it was a good event.

The best books you didnt mention are the two critically great X Force books, Kyle/Yost and Remender.
Also, Peter David had two very long very good runs on X Factor, one in the 90s and one from the mid 00s to mid 2010s.

And that no matter how hard you try and how often you bring successful results, one mistake is all it takes to turn the team against you, because as a leader you're not supposed to make their mistakes for them.

You know, even though Scott is my favourite Marvel superhero, I'd say that, unlike Logan, he wouldn't be able to carry a pure solo book, ever. He's just too normal of a person for that.
