Guys, real talk here please.

Starco is 99.8% endgame, I don't think anyone is going to unironically argue with that. But do you think they will do anything with other characters? Will there be any other endgame ships, or everyone else will just get open endings/nothing?

We have a lot of talk about Jantom and Tomkie. Some people also meme about pairing up Jackie with Oskar but I think it's only because they hate Jackie. But while we all may have our preferences, I don't think the show has ever actually foreshadowed any other relationships. Come to think about it, do cartoons even give happy endings to non-main characters? I haven't seen that many cartoons but I think the only time I remember it happening is The Legend of Korra, where besides Korrasami they had a bunch of other pairings happening in the background, one was actually a wedding.

It's a possibility. I don't think the show is THAT romance-focused and so it's not like everyone will get paired off (take the guys at the end of the S3 opening, I doubt every one of them will have someone by the end).

But if something like Jackie and Tom or whatever happens I wouldn't be surprised. It wouldn't get a whole episode just about it or anything, just maybe happen as a joke thing in a few episodes.

So largely open endings besides Starco (hell Adam has a tweet that seems to imply pretty hard that happens early-ish in 4), maybe like one other canon relationship between two secondaries.

I say "early" in 4 because it takes them like a year to do the whole season and I don't think they started work on it until April or May of this year.

Also he's done things like secretly tweet about the S2 premiere date before it was announced, tweet "4" as soon as he learned of the renewal (months before we found out), etc. Granted he might not be referring to Starco at all but he is usually pretty obsessive about it.

If this show was 100% romance, sure Starco might not be set in stone. But there's a fantasy element to this and Disney wants to sell merchandise. They're not going to fuck that up by having Marco end up with Jackie or Janna or some shit. If they do, the story needs to start swerving toward that direction as soon as the rest of season 3 starts. Otherwise, it's pretty obvious Starco is end game and that they're going to be CLEVER and GOOD by writing their budding romance in a likable way, like they've been doing, instead of more Jim and Pam bullshit and make the fantasy/adventure/comedy elements better as well.

Someone said Star's natural scent smelled like cinnamon rolls. Then someone said she farts actual cinnamon. Then someone said all mewmans fart cinnamon.

Then it got taken into overdrive. Mostly because Adam tweeted about eating cinnamon toast crunch the day of the premiere, then, while in character during a livechat, said he puts cinnamon in his nachos, and also said he makes "his own homemade cinnamon toast crunch". The cinnamonposting was at a high level at the time so that just took it right over the top.

Also around the same time there was a lot of talk about Star's period blood being mountain dew. Then two factions of the thread were at war with each other trying to decide what color "the dew of the goddess" was.

The difference to me is that Spider in a Top Hat is meant to just be a weird one-off experimental thing (paired with a Halloween episode so Disney doesn't air it much) and focuses on an element that I guess people might wonder about, the spell creatures, but that doesn't need to be a bug plot point.

Whereas Tom, Jackie, Janna, etc. are regular secondary characters and so any romantic development with them can just happen in episodes they'd normally appear in anyway. I also just don't think they'd do a whole episode about romance that doesn't primarily involve Star and Marco: Star's crush on Marco is a major element, who a secondary character likes isn't really.
