Why do we even have bow-based superheroes?
They're way too slow and more terrible compared to some random guy with a gun who just needs to point and shoot. You have to draw a bow to shoot it.
Anyone who prefers guns over bows must have some latent mutant/meta ability. Bows are much harder to use competently than guns are.
>use bows
>don't turn villains into a pincushion
>box glove arroz
Seriously...

Because making a deadly bow user is easier than making a competent non lethal gunslinger, who disarms their enemies 'Hot Fuzz' style.
Besides, it's harder to have gun based heroes in the US when some bullied 14 year old can rock up to their school any day now, and completely ruin your comic PR in that state.
>But the media wouldn't blame comics for school shootings
They would, and you bloody well know it. If quake map creator can get blamed before bullying or psychological issues, then gunslingers aren't off the table, no matter how noble.
That being said, Marvel/DC and other countries/companies do have them. BnHA has a gunslinger hero who guides his bullets to non lethal areas, Blade uses guns, Alucard has gunsup the ass, War Machine is basically a gun mech, Cable and Bishop use guns, Big Daddy and Hit Girl use guns, Savage Dragon is a non lethal marksmen, Deadshot is usually a villain and allowed to get away with it, Agent Zero exists, cannons don't count as guns apparently which opens up a whole array of options, and Deadpool. Just Deadpool.

Superheroes operate almost entirely on the rule of cool. Bows are cool.
Why do we have a hero with a sword? Why do we have a hero with a hammer?
Why don't we just travel back in time and shove a grenade up Doctor Doom's ass when he's 2 weeks old?

Same reason as every hero really, to be cool. The reason you have hero with x powers or y combat training is because someone said "it would be cool if we had a hero known for this" and made them, whether they are a huge powerhose, a joke character, highly skilled, or have random bs powers that is the most common reason. It is something you accept and move on instead of zeroing in on only one type of hero as if all the other types are far more plausible when even every hero theme has some layer of bulshit that makes that group special
