Though Moon's have gone all the way up her arm and seemed to hurt her when Toffee died and her contract with Eclipsa triggered.

Not sure if you noticed but Marco is pretty much the same character before and after Running with Scissors. His mind reverted back eventually, just like his body.

"Safe kid" was never an actual thing to begin with, it's what other children teasingly called him. It's not like he is a safety nut, he is just trying to be more careful and reasonable than most. And having spent time with Star has definitely pushed him towards taking risks more.

Of course he's not going to intentionally miss school, but he still has 2.5 months of summer fun and travels between Earth and Mewni. The show is not going to exclusively focus on just one dimension only, and we'll get to see characters from both. This mutual baiting of "Marco will return to Earth, Starco BTFO" and "Marco will stay on Mewni, Jarco BTFO" is getting tiresome.

Not really. Maybe if you already really like her and want to know whatever history she might have with Marco, or just why she's such a weirdo in general.
But that's not much of a point over Jackie, the same could apply to her.

They can both still be boiled down to just "weird/creepy girl" and "chill girl" but Jackie's just much more likable to me. We've seen more of her emotional/personality range and getting roped into a love triangle with Star and Marco puts her in a more interesting place in the story with more emotional investment.
I think another reason I don't like Janna as much is that she's been overused in Season 2 but despite the extra attention we haven't gotten to know her better at all (or she's really just that shallow and distant). Like what purpose did she serve in "Gift of the Card"? Her being Star's weird "witchy" friend is fine but when they try to use her as character-filler comic relief she totally falls flat for me. I'd take Ferguson instead any day.
Contrast with Jackie who if anything has been underused.

The problem is that they keep trying to make Janna's role be Star's friend when her best chemistry has always been with Marco.

Deep down, the writers know they accidentally made a character with the potential to sink Starco who also happened to be fun to write. Therefore they've been trying to strike up a compromise by pushing her into a different role, only to fail because what made the character fun to write was the fact that she had the potential to sink Starco.

Even Marco's voice actor, a huge Starco fan, has basically admitted that Starco's appeal has the potential to be easily filled by someone with the fateful impromptu joke: "Are you turning into Janna?"

What's funny about it is that Toffee's final monologue isn't actually Michael C. Hall; rather, it's a deepened and distorted recording of Daron Nefcy shouting at MCH when he tried to offer input on how to write the end of the half-hour episode so that Toffee still retains high threat levels without making Star survive while he's alive seem implausible. I don't think so, and I think the key is in the visuals. Toffee reforms himself out of the goop, we watch this happen. Star, when she gets out of the who-knows-where, "dips down", resuscitates a new unicorn to power the wand, and literally steps out of nowhere in the middle of the sky into god mode.

Toffee, I see his actions as calculated and planned, and indicating a knowledge of the rules of how magic can work. Star, as far as I can tell, was bullshitting. She simply had INTENT and bent the magic to do what she wanted by forcing it to, meaning she simply left that other place, and entered the physical world again.

I think a major plot point of season 3 will be Eclipsa playing with Star's emotions to mold her the way she wants. Star's now the most powerful next to everyone, but maybe Glossaryck. So the only way for her to fail at this point would be for her pride, emotions, and impulsiveness to get to her. And those areas are what cause a lot of Fallen Hero's. As of the start of S3, Jackie already has an "important" role of being Marco's romantic interest. Putting her in the intro alongside Janna and even less often recurring characters like Tom or fucking Kelly wouldn't "spoil" anything, especially if she was staying in that role for a while, let alone had it expanded. But if he went after her without even telling her first, just disappearing for weeks when they were supposed to be enjoying their first summer together, she has every right to call him out and even break it off with him. For all we know, he's only been away for a few days (Star and Moon spent 2 weeks at the fountain but we don't know how much of it Marco was on Earth and how much on Mewni).
It's also clearly been some time between him moping about Star leaving and him coming to Mewni, it's reasonable to assume he has already talked to other about it, including Jackie.

Star was the one who bought the concert tickets, but it still says something that Star had to be the one to orchestrate a date between Marco and his girlfriend to an event they're both interested in. It's not like Marco doesn't have the money to buy a pair of tickets himself. At best you could say Star and Marco consider Love Sentence "their thing" which still makes Marco a good friend to Star and a bad boyfriend to Jackie.
And he was definitely excited to go to the concert before he found out Star invited Jackie too.

Marco has issues around Jackie at the best of times, but after Star left he couldn't even talk with his parents without constant moping and connecting everything back to Star. I'm sure Jackie would have came over and tried to comfort him, but I doubt she got anywhere.
Not showing how Marco went from literally crying into his oatmeal to casually showing up on Mewni with a box of cereal was one of the movie's biggest failings and I hope it gets addressed later, but I just doubt he went out of his way to let anyone but his parents know he left.
I've heard in another thread that allegedly some staff member said he didn't even tell his parents, but I don't have any source on that.

At any rate, I'd say ditching Jackie in another dimension to go after Star for any length of time is grounds for Jackie to start to get fed up with his shit. With how bent out of shape Marco was about Star leaving I doubt she would have pressed him about how he was handling her confession either, if he left her without talking through that she might assume the worst.

I never said that Marco can never or will never develop romantic feelings for Star. Only that SO FAR there is no indication of him doing so.
Look, I actually want him to, believe me. But life is tough and has taught me not to take anything for granted. I've burnt myself on this before.
So I'd like to see evidence of Marco developing romantic feelings for Star (yes, we know he already has VERY STRONG feelings for her, but they are not romantic so far), not just "it will happen because it might happen because we want it to happen".

I had a nightmare where I was just trying to get to class, then Jerma confronted me. He actually pinned me up against the lockers, right in the middle of the hallway, when everyone was walking to final period. I was so scared, because I didn't want to get in trouble for hitting a vertically handicapped guy, but at the same time I couldn't ask for help, especially not since everyone started snickering at me for being assaulted by a dwarf. He knocked the textbooks out of my arms while just smiling at me, that cold, hearthless smile of his, and told me to "whip it out".
I pretended like I had no idea what he's talking about. I was shaking, red in face, so embarassed by the situation I couldn't even look him in the eyes. He slapped me. It stung. It left a mark on my cheek. She told me to "whip it out" or else things would get worse for me. Despite feeling like I was going to be killed, I stayed resolute, and refused once more.
Then he reached into my pants, without consent, without warning, and gripped my genitals. He smiled and laughed, and everyone saw what was going on. Some stopped to stare. No one tried to help me, and he didn't care what he was doing. "That's pretty impressive" he laughed in my face, not caring about my horrible discomfort. He looked left and right, and when he finally found Star_, he yelled, right in front of the student body, "Hey, Star_! Anon's got a big dick!"
Then the worst thing possible happened. Either Star_ wasn't paying attention, or he didn't hear correctly, but he misinterpreted what was yelled at him. I finally woke up, physically ill, hugging my pillow for comfort.
