The problem here is that you have two 4th wall breaker-style characters. There's no straight man character involved. There's no conflict either, as both characters could be seen as not really giving a fuck. You need someone with a different style of comedy to work with the Mask.

Lobo vs the Mask worked because Lobo works as the straight man. He can be funny, but is usually serious enough to progress the story along.

Deadpool doesn't fill that role like Lobo could, and if you did have Deadpool in it, it would just be like two comedians yelling the same joke over and over again whereas with a Lobo vs Mask, you have two distinct characters going after each other with their own style of comedy.
