So is Loki a good guy now? You can see him fighting to protect Asgard in the trailer. Will he at least do soemething against Thanos and not get his ass kicked for once?

nah, he just doesn't want a fucked up throne
Fighting to protect the thing you want to rule doesn't make you a good guy. It's a classic villainous trope, everyone likes status quo.
>>93974500
He's fighting to protect Asgard because since the end of Thor 2 he's the king of Asgard.
>>93974500
well, he is Asgard's king. That's his shit to protect now.
>>93974500
Loki has always cared about Asgard, his issues are with Thor and Odin, and Earth because Thor cares about it.

Well in that case he did a terrible job at protecting it

Does Thor still have lightning/rain powers without Mjolnir?
Remember in the first movie when he explicitly didn't even want the throne, he just wanted to be seen as a hero in the eyes of his father and erase the shame of his parentage from his past?
Then Joss came in and changed his entire motivation in Avengers

He barely has those powers either way in the movies.

>Does Thor still have lightning/rain powers without Mjolnir?
No. That was all Mjolnir. We see in the first movie what he's like without being able to use Mjolnir.

Its Loki, what did you expect? Hes a shitty ruler
>>93975226
Well after Thor 1 he probably thought Odin was super fucking pissed and would never forgive him so he decided "fuck it having Asgard is fine too I guess"
>>93975260
Thor should be the thunder god regardless though.
>>93975308
That's not what happened though, it was just written like he wanted the throne the entire time
>>93975260
He is still vastly more powerful than his fellow Asgardians regardless seeing as how he decided to fight Hulk in that gladiator without a second thought. He was only reduced to human level because Odin sealed most of his abilities.
>>93975260
My thinking is when Mjolnir is destroyed, Odin's spell on it is broken too. Odin's spell named the powers as "the power of the Thor" so it seems like before the curse thing, the power was just Thor's and not related to the hammer.

In the BTS Ragnarok footage, Thor is shown using lightning around his body (in the trailer it's edited out, implying it's a spoiler).
Gaea is possibly the secondary source of power for Thor.
That being the case, Loki may have already met Thor's uncle.

In the comics, yes. In the movies, if he can it hasn't been shown yet.
