Of course she'll have that look. That's why they cast a cute actress instead of a tough actress.

Marvel is using that look in the comics because they're desperately trying to create some kind of unique identity for her.

I actually think the dyke version is a lot more true to the character, as Carol has long been a standoffish, aggressive douche and a fuckup of the utmost level.
