To draw another Xiaolin Showdown analogy, make Piccolo the "Wuya" and Pilaf the "JAck Spicer"

The Red Ribbons, if you use them, can be a third party antagonist to keep things interesting, as all three parties are vying for the Dragonballs.

You can keep it more interesting and draw the search out by doing away with the Dragon Radar concept, and have everyone do more treasure hunting/finding clues to the locations of the Dragonballs

Just because KH has Disney characters doesn't mean Disney would know how to adapt it without ruining it and skewing it in Disney characters' favor.

KH is deceptive. There's just enough Disney to please the execs, but the real meat and bones of the series are Nomura's original characters and story. Anyone who looks at advertising and promos will see a Disney game, but anyone who plays the game will see a Square game that features Disney characters.

I think there should be a Zelda show that has two parts to it. A slightly more serious one with adult Link and an ongoing plot, not based on any game in particular, but very clearly in the same mindset as the N64 and Wii games.

Then the second half of the show stars toon Link and is a lot goofier, and the plot is a lot more loose.

Pokemon lost it's edge when it went to the Orange Islands. All the characters became too boring and clean so they could be marketable kids icons. It's fine for toddlers but only real pokemon autists could watch the anime past the indigo league. Hell, most would quit mid indigo league, by the time Brock stopped being shy about girls.

But based on your reaction I bet you genuinely think Pokemon X/Y/Z was an amazing well written piece of media for all ages. Hell you'd probably even defend best wishes if you actually think the over reliance on repetition is actually a good thing.

i think that toon link would be have broader appeal, the reason why they went with toon link is because they could really show his emotive range even without a single word, so while i am against him being mute, a way to show whats on his mind very easily without needing him to talk is a much better use of animation as a medium

juxtaposing a long and epic story with cute characters also reminds me a lot of ghibli, you can have a mature story even with very cute characters

the overall more cartoony aesthethic would also allow for more exaggeration and slapstick humor

With the setting, and Ness getting homesick too, the contrast between kids going on a magical adventure and police and busses could be really neat.

I have this idea in my head of it being the opposite of that kind of weird pokemon setting with random dirt roads in forests in the middle of modern technology. The surreal being contrasted by completely conventional scenery, like how you'd actually walk from onett to twoson, what boat you'd hitchhike on to get from one place to another, or what a convenience store in the middle of the desert looks like.
