I am fairly new to comic books and would like to start reading some Batman. However, I have no idea where to start.
I really love The Joker though. Are there any good comics involving The Joker that I won't feel completely lost in?

Batman #1 or its modern reinterpretation "Joker: The Man Who Laughs". "The Killing Joke". "Joker's Asylum".
Not hard to get a Joker reading list, all things considered. Although WHICH version of the Joker do you like is important.

I was looking at all of those books but wanted to know if there was anything I had to read beforehand. If I can skip straight to them then that would be great.
I have no real preference over which Joker as I haven't seen many different versions of him.

The Killing Joke

"The Man Who Laughs" is a sequel to the (arguably best Batman story of all time), "Batman: Year One." Wouldn't be a bad idea to read either of those.
"The Killing Joke" is the most famous Joker story, although in some ways it's pretty dated.
The "Soft Targets" arc in Gotham Central is really influential on The Dark Knight, and is my favourite Joker story, personally.
Once you finish those, come on back, I'm sure we'll have lots more recs.
