Given that we've had entire cable channels like RetroToons, and that we have an entire generation of parents that can go buy box sets of a complete cartoon series from 30 years ago, it is entirely possible that raising children on 80s cartoons will continue for some time.
Not even counting "certain ways" to download cartoons that had been created in the 1970s. If you keep it all in perspective, it does mean that the madmen who keep showing all Teen Titans Go and Spongebob all the time, all day, every day might have realized this and are fighting The War For Low Quality the only way they can.

it's because family guy is at a crossroads

some of the recent jokes were so bizarre and macabre that the show honestly doesn't get enough recognition for
