It's 2017, I can't believe I'm still reading this regularly. In terms of lifetime I've been into this it equals Doctor Who and Supernatural.

It's also the only webcomic I'm still following, I dropped 2kinds and GirlGenius years ago.

She was created as Elliot's girlfriend so as long as they were dating there wasn't really much for her to do as she didn't have much character. She was the "normal" one who didn't want anything to do with magic or transformations or whatever. So breaking them up allowed her to develop her own character as the goofy girl who, despite her misgivings, wants to have magic too and gets it and gets to loosen up.

Also she's a fucking repressed sexual deviant who: likes muscle growth, homo shit and may very well be bisexual and gets turned on at what amounts to selfcest with Grace.

She's kind of a Mary Sue and now that her main source of drama is long dead there's not a lot there.

Diane was my favorite but I don't like how her bitchiness has been toned down since getting a crush on Elliot. She needs to basically be the Emma Frost of the group, a friend and loyal ally but haughty, imperious and catty.

Not really her fault though. Dan made the character with an arc in mind and didn't really have anything to fall back on once it was over.
I'd shake my fist and curse Dan for not writing more but this comic already has, like, 15 active plot threads.
