Where did he say that? By the time it moved to DisneyXD, the season was nearing the end of its production. I've only ever seen him talk about having to fight with higher-ups to get things approved in scripts.

This is dumb. TV production is an incredibly difficult full time job, navigating actors, music, animation. Comics are just two things: pictures and words. I guarantee he can do this in his spare time while working on other things. There is no comparison between making a comic and making a TV series in terms of effort, time and difficulty. Also someone can't just take "two weeks off" from a series, the schedule is staggered so that if one part of the pipeline stops the others grind to a halt like a car crash on the freeway
