At this point redemption feels more likely

Ludo's whole narrative has been about proving himself, that he can beat Star and the Mewmans and be the great leader everyone loves. Then he gets slowly overshadowed by Toffee in season 1 until he's kicked by his own people.

After that he gets banished and starts to cultivate himself into one more deserving of the respect he desires. But the tool he uses to do this is once again manipulated by Toffee all the way through. He gets everything he wanted, but people still hate him. Then Toffee outright says to him, not a single thing you did mattered. I planned out this entire chain of events. You were absolutely nothing more than a puppet.

That's the point I think he's gonna collapse at. He tried to be powerful in his own right, seemed to get there, and then get utterly fucked over.

I'm not quite sure what to think of this movie. I've been never been a hardcore SVTFOE fan. I just watch the show and that's pretty much it. I appreciated how they weren't afraid to speak about death, but I thought the way Toffee supposedly died was a bit disappointing. I just hope Eclipsa will be worth it. She seems like a great villain. But then again, manipulating an emotionally distressed teenager is not exactly hard to do.

It was a fun movie, though. It got quite a few laughs out of me. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with Eclipsa.
