I just don't know the history behind the doodle and therefore can't reasonably speculate its relevance one way or the other. I just know that Sugar now claims that it wasn't drawn or picked by her. But I still don't have a whole lot of faith in the idea that the editor in charge of choosing which images did or didn't go into the book had a strong sense of the creative process behind the individual artists and what impact they had on the actual show. I'm much more inclined to believe that they were handed a stack of papers that had this in it and chose to stick it in because it was comparatively legible and mildly appealing, and that if they hadn't picked it and opened this whole can of worms that only occurs after the fact of the book's release, it wouldn't be missed by anyone at all.
