I'm looking for comic books like Sweet Tooth, The Maxx or Scott Pilgrim. Comic books that have a bit amount of honesty and sincerity to them and aren't edgy, cynical and dark for the sake of being dark (even though they can be dark). Something unique, interesting and maybe surreal but with a lot of heart.
Have you looked into any other comics by Jeff Lemire, Sam Keith or Bryan Lee O'Malley?

Sure, but I'd prefer something else by another author.
>The Maxx
>Not intentionally edgy
Are you retarded?

>Sweet Tooth
This is the one about the boy with antlers in a post-apocalyptic world isn't it?
Damn, it has been so long since I read that. It was when I still read fan-translated comic books. I think I never got around to finishing it.
You gotta check out Enigma.

Kaijumax might be what you're looking for. On the surface it's a giant monster comic but when you read it it's a really human and thoughtful comic.
