>PART 75 - THE SECRET HISTORY OF THE HASBRO UNIVERSE
Thanks to Optimus Prime and Marissa Faireborn, the Junkions have been allowed to settle on Earth. But not everyone's dealing with that well...
(And yes, this will include today's Optimus Prime #9.)

Plush D0C is great.
This guy!
Jazz goes on television!
Jazz's friend finally gets a name.
I do really like these interview-style pages.
That's a pretty Functionist viewpoint, Orion.
What the hell DID you expect, Jazz?
>"Salvo can't recall the name of the pilot flying the craft that transports the Joe team to Mexico City. He doesn't appear on-panel, but the craft is the Phantom X-19, which means the pilot is Ghostrider—and it's a running joke in G.I. Joe lore that nobody can remember his name."
:(
Time for storytelling!
The artist is a big Jem fan.
Soundwave without a helmet is... upsetting.
Note that Ferak was later noted to have helped build the Nightmare Engine.

No pictures, please! This is gonna be a pretty tightly packed storytime.
Jumpstream and Dust Up's colours here are based on those of the Micromasters Gingham and Holi, since they're girlfriends, and Holi's girlfriend Clipper looked a lot like Gingham. The more you know!

...What did I just say, buddy?
>a gorilla
>a bat
>a dinosaur
>an alligator
Hmm.
Oh, fug. This guy?
That poem's from the G1 episode Cosmic Rust, by the way.
That poem's printed in Cybertronian script on the sides of the Torchbearers' toys, by the way.
oh FUCK
Today's issue!It's a good one.
This whole bit looks familiar.
Arcee had a brother? Huh.
>>93821139
>>93821182
Delete these, will you?
>>93820219
I don't know why but I really prefer this coloring style over a lot of modern "realistic" colorizations.
>>93821581
It's pretty great. Wait until you see the flashback scenes in Revolution #5.
>>93821581
I usually like it, but in the past issues it has sometimes made the art look a bit messy.
>>93821566
Huh? That's weird, I thought Sideswipe was past all this brother crap and was finally getting along with Sunstreaker.

Awww.
F ;-;
The end. (For now.)
Remember way, way back when I storytimed Hearts of Steel for no particular reason? http://desuarchive.org/co/thread/93340650/
Well, keep that in mind...
These guys look... kind of familiar, don't you think?
Nice outfit, Paoli, did your boss pick it out for you?
>"Ironhide" is still green
Maybe Shockwave ran out of red paint?
Fuck's sake, Ian.
OP #9 is one of the best to come out of IDW. RIP Sideswipe.
>>93821685
There might have been scenes of them being cheerful on the surface, but there's never been any resolution concerning their issues with one another.
What the fuck, Mercy.
Unfortunately: it's time for more MASK.
Fortunately: this issue has an entirely different creative team! It's half-decent!
Remember when Astrotrain got bisected?
Woo, Big Lob!
It's Destro! Where ya been, big guy?
>>93821642
All those G2 characters. Nice.
I'd be reluctant to say that was GOOD, but it certainly wasn't BAD.
The secret origin of Cliff Dagger!
Terrible news! We're back to Easton!
Where'd you go, OP?
It's Verstal "my name is a continuity error" Bender!
>>93823486
Sorry, man, I had to AFK and there was an image I forgot to scale down.
Matt does his best Nick Cage impression.
Jesus fucking Christ, this dialogue. How can anyone think an actual human being would say that?
>>93820584
What an asshole.
Are we finally going to get an explanation that makes sense? No, of course not.
>>93820611
I'm getting real sick of your shit Pyra.
Looks like Easton was unaware that IDW Zartan is a shapeshifter instead of using holograms. What a shocker.
...Didn't Bruno and Julio both use the Rhino DURING Revolution?
>>93820780
Poor Jazz.
Well, this was stupid.
Next thread: we wrap things up with TAAO, Transformers: Salvation, GI Joe, Rom, and Micronauts: Wrath of Karza!
>>93824151
I'm really trying to keep along, but once everything got thrown in I kind of stopped caring.
Like onpaper the combined universe is neat, but most of what I've been reading is kind of a mess.
>>93824225
Fair enough. We can't all like everything!
I would argue that the Transformers books have been basically untouched beyond a few Joes as background characters in Optimus Prime. MASK is dogshit and Micronauts and GI Joe can be weak, but Rom and Revolutionaries are both really solid titles.

I'm pretty worried what First Strike is going to do to the TF books now that they are bringing the humans on Cybertron. My first thought was Eww. Well, second and third one too.
>>93821162
Thanks op
>>93824443
Optimus Prime and Lost Light are both coming out with normal, non-tie-in issues during First Strike. TAAO is ending anyway.

Josh's colors always have a nice pink/purple hue to them.
>>93821642
>Soundwave
Something's up. This issue doesn't seem like it's going to end happy.
>>93825160You might be right.

>>93821765
Fuck, man.
>>93821879

SCIENCE
>>93820391
Jeez, that must be the biggest aircraft carrier to ever exist.
Do you have the preview of Rom vs. Transformers from the digital version of Optimus #9, OP?
