I didn't have a problem with Michele as a character. But that "mj" bit right at the end of the film just seems tacked on, like it doesn't belong there are was some vestigial scene that should have been on the cutting room floor. As other people pointed out, she wasn't even plot-relevant for this film, and it seems a meaningless addition trying to make her sound important. It is just not something that should be used at the end when it wasn't connected to anything.
