It's weird to think I read so many Commando comics as a kid and remember basically none of them.
I feel like Rogue Trooper's endless war would be a really interesting thing to track vs. what came before it (like the similarities it has to period war comics, WW1 and WW2 and what) and what came after, what was influenced by it. Doesn't feel like it gets enough credit.
Hey op, you got a link to download all these?

Has Rogue ever had someone *not* turn on him when the moment comes?

Not only did they reprint a lot of their older material but some stories were outright rewrites of the earlier stuff too. Think that second kind of story was how they got new writers and artists into the game though, "Here's an old desert story by so&so - just copy it but set it in a new environment.".

The VCs was the same - only it was clearly modeled on Starship Troopers/ (the book).

Note to new readers: if you've really enjoyed Rogue up till now this is a good point at which you might wanna stop reading. There's another one coming up at the end of the Horst stuff too - at that point even old readers will want to stop and try to erase what comes next from their memories.

I liked the little Ant-guys. Wished they'd done more with them.

Does anyone have the reboot Friday/War Machine stuff? It was about the only re-imagining worth reading across all comics.

THE END.
No need to continue reading. It's all just a fever dream from here on out.
Well, ok. Maybe Cinnabar is worth a gander. But avoid the rest. Everyone involved just really had run out of steam at this point and the lack of enthusiasm really comes through on the pages.
It's really formulaic at times, and it's pretty clear it's though as magazine short stories, but something about this is so catchy I never get bored.
I think it's the chemistry Gunner, Helm, Rogue and Bagman have with each other what seals the deal, and the occasional war is helm themes

I'll defend Cinnabar if only for the Dillon/Walker art.
I also think War Machine works fine as a stand alone Elseworlds story. It only becomes a problem when they tried to make it an on going and also tie it into the previous stories
