I'm taking my granny to see this. She's never seen a MCU movie, but loves Tobey's Spider-Man.
What should I say to catch her up? Do you think she'll like it?

No, she wont.

I had a similar situation, just tell them this takes place in a world where there are lots of different superheroes, it worked for me
My mother didnt liked it. She only watched the first 2 and thinks these are too forced. I hated it btw

She should at least see Guardians 1 first.
She'll probably think it's cute.

Its alright. Its a cute movie about teenagers. GotG is a better Marvel movie for ALL AGES.
>no Emma Stone booty this time
No sale.

It's Spider-Man, but it's in a world where there are a lot more superheroes and he really wants to "graduate" from being a street-level vigilante to the alien/demon/cyborg/supervillain punching big leagues.
Granny will like
She should like it. The only thing connecting it was civil war but they already explained the basics of his appearance during the movie.

Really he just wants to move above rescuing bicycles and giving directions.
He's pretty thrilled about stopping atm robberies.
By the time real supervillains are involved he's constantly trying to reach Stark for backup.
Which is pretty funny commentary on the the fan-complaint "Why didn't X show up to help Y when Z threatened the city?"
The answer is they got Happy Hogan-blocked.
