I realized the other day how Onslaught makes Xavier seem like a weenie
I mean, somehow Onslaught lets him co-opt Magneto's powers and become enough of a threat that he's able to keep Fraknlin Fucking Richards cooped up as a fuel source. And this is all because it's Xavier's dark side unleashed...
...So shouldn't it stand to reason that his good side, unleashed, is equally as powerful? Like a guy who can help someone work through 10 years of therapy in an hour because your mind doesn't work on the same time scale as reality? Stop violence as it's happening just by making the perpetrators drop their weapons? Root out corruption in the social apparatus by threatening to expose dirty laundry?
But instead he... recruits a team of teenagers with attitude. I dunno, it just doesn't seem very ambitious.
