Season 2 needed more of pic related doing stuff. Carissa got the lion's share of character dev while Lyna was just there to pick her up and drop her 100 times. A shame since she came out of season 1 finale with so much momentum.

If you enjoy magical girl shows you should like LR. Even with all the production woes over the years the staff are still extremely fond of it. This is the first show of Marathon's that I actually like all of the characters, besides waifu capabilities and all that.
As for availability and subs that depends on your region. It's on Netflix in english markets with both French and English dub. Otherwise there are a few links and megas with french itunes rips and matching subtitles for the first season (and like the first few of s2)

This show's biggest hindrance is the status quo. There is so much potential for character arcs and plot development but it always ends with "nah, nothing's changed lol"

Another thing that always got to me was, if they're trying to keep their powers secret why do they do all that magic and shit in their concerts, and fly around town on their horse dog thing in broad daylight? Does no one in town question these things?

Here's a sad story
I was considering getting a Netflix account, I was at uni, living in student accommodation, no tv, Fuck paying tv liscence so I just watched cartoons online, found lolirock after finding it on twitter, finished season 1 then funnit enlugh season 2 came out a week later, guess I timed it just right, anyways I couldn't find any decent sites to watch season 2 on, they were always either shitty quality or or audio issues
So I caved

Magical boy show. The boy's mother gets kidnapped, and he has to come clean with everything. She says she's totally okay with it and would love to help him fight trolls. Nope! Her mind gets erased and the son decides not to tell her again for no reason.

Way worse, because we are not given one reason why she can't be told, and she says she's totally fine with it.

The strongest element of the show was the Princesses vs The Twins.
Gramor was a bit of a let down in the end but I always enjoyed the back and forth during the fights. The strongest episodes where the ones where they interacted the most.

Btw the Team posted all the development stuff for her and Lyna. Interesting how she was almost the asian, and Caucasian Lyna was used for a one shot character later on.

Auri won that one hands down because she had most of the episode, the most interaction with the twins, and most of her personality intact. Also she held her own vs the Rocks.

We got jipped with zombie Talia. Like if the twins let her use her autism for evil she would've been unbeatable. Plus the rest of the ep was a mess.

More she was just a robot and they had the controller. If they let her do her own thing she'd tear up the rest of the Rocks. Though it might be a lore nugget that the only way the Twins could even overcome Talia's will was to turn her into a zombie like that.

Talia kinda got jobbed season 2, no real good focus eps. But I mean, Xeris in season 1 makes up for it.

Staff aren't fond of that one. The dance aspect was forced on them by higher ups. Then all the shit with them chasing rings like Bryce Harper and a forced in Evil Talia, it was all over the place.
