I liked it, and it was a pretty good introduction for people who literally never heard of Castlevania. Even Vlad came out sympathetic.

According to Ellis, the show is basically 3 movies. Each one split into 4 episodes. First season was the first movie to test the waters and see if there was an audience. Since it was well received, Netflix put in the order for season 2 which will be 8 episodes, meaning that season 2 will basically just be movies 2 and 3 combined rather than waiting to have the third movie as its own season like the first one was.

That being the case, it's highly likely that the second season will be the rest of Castlevania 3.
