At one point I thought it might be possible that they'd have Eclipsa be Toffee's mother (mainly to explain how he knows so much about the wand/spellbook, nothing really indicates that could be possible physically beyond the noticeable size difference between him and Rasticore), but actually thinking about would that would mean I doubt it now.

Mainly for the fact that if the whole monster/Mewman situation obviously parallels real-world issues, you don't want your main villain to appear to be a strong cautionary tale for why you shouldn't let the races mix. We don't know of any other hybrids in the series yet and unless they suddenly introduce more, that kind of thing could create a dumb internet faux-controversy by the tumblr crowd about Star Vs. being racist or something.

Not that it's totally impossible they could do that though; just that there are other ways they could have known each other, if Into the Wand wasn't just indicating their "connection" begins and ends with the Darkest Spell. At the very least if Eclipsa knew Toffee and served some sort of parent/mentor role it doesn't HAVE to literally be "she gave birth to him."

I think there are reasons they wouldn't do it and so I'm not expecting it, but it's still not 100% impossible on the level of "TOFFEE WAS MARCO" bullshit.

The spells are beamed out of the wand's crystal through a portal in a pocket dimension, as shown in the episode. They're usually not "in" the wand, they just come out through it. That's not headcanon or anything, someone on the crew specified that when someone asked.

There are different "insides" of the wand though. The memory space thing is more like a mental process, the inner compartment is where the unicorn is, there's a lot of cosmic junk in there that means the inside probably contains more than how it outwardly appears.

No news about the comic. Still on hiatus, not officially canceled or continuing as far as we know. The author and artist seem pretty resigned they might not get to release the other 4, but that's because the publisher still hasn't told them anything rather than it straight-up being canceled, as far as I know.

Leaves the option open that we might get a continuation within the next 2 years in a best-case scenario, but guarantees we won't see anything about it for a while. I might see if the company or whatever would answer how good the chances of it ever continuing are, but if the people actually working on it haven't heard shit then I doubt I'll get a real answer.

The only thing that makes me think there's a real chance of it happening, even just a small one, is this new poster they handed out to DTVA staff which clearly shows that Star has a new wand.
It's possible that this doesn't happen until Season 4 (or even just mid-Season 3) but the earlier it happens the less sense the intro makes, and the later it happens the less sense it makes for them to have "merch" of it already (even just for staff).
There's also the possibility that the new intro is only for Season 3, and therefore lower budget because it's not intended to last as long, but that doesn't seem likely either considering it was produced in Spring 2016 and the staff didn't know they were getting a 4th season until around November.

All that said I'm not expecting anything but if they played us like a goddamn fiddle like this I'm going to buy every single piece of Star merch out there because they'll fucking deserve it.
