Probably not as well. Granted, the slice of life episodes couldve been written better but in general what allows for cartoons with many seasons to be enjoyable is the fact that slice of life parts gives the viewer a breather to stop and think and get a feel for what the characters are like. The slice of life eps created greater appreciation for the plot based episodes and pulled you in slowly to the overall premise of the series. If it just started off dramatic and intense it wouldnt have appealed to so many age groups nor would it have the personality it has now (like i said, it still has its many flaws but you get the point)

It might actually have turned out weaker. And that's not to say SoL is better, but think about it.

Imagine how many times Ludo showed up in Season 1 before the Toffee plot began. Now imagine if that had happened every episode instead, rather than with the SoL episodes breaking his appearances up. Even if they didn't use Ludo each time, it could still look like a fairly formulaic action show because the crew didn't know what the fuck they were doing with it until halfway through.

A mix of both at least gave it variety.

Episodes 1-7 Are okay. If you're invested in the characters you'll enjoy it as a fun time waster. It isn't until episode 8 that stakes begin appearing and the world reaches an unprecedented scope.

Ideas are explored, and with the premise being coupled with inter-dimensional scissors it allows for some cool destinations.

Echoing what others say, try to make it to the 8th episode/16 segment or even the entire first season if you have the time/interest. If you've watched all of 1 and don't like it then you probably won't like 2 either; if you do then 2 is way better.

It really is all uphill from the first couple episodes, which can be okay on their own but don't have as much of the plot, development, emotion etc. that shows up later on. Worst case scenario, look at them as setup for the later stuff and the good stuff as beginning halfway through 1.

It's not really. Sort of hard to describe if you haven't seen much of it, but while Star is obviously a female character with some girly sensibilities that's not the driving tone of the show.

A lot of the humor is actually "horrible things happen in contrast to the cutesy art style." Actually some of the plot is like that too.

Just watch them; you might actually miss something you'd like if you skip stuff. There's not really a definitive list or anything and even some with a bad reputation, like the second half of the first episode, actually contribute to the plot.

I'd recommend just turning off any episode that annoys you in the first few minutes, and going from there. Even better is just watching it all but if you turn out to dislike a lot of it then it might just not be your kind of show anyway.

Star genuinely helps everyone out, not out of jealousy or a misunderstanding or anything, but still gets yelled at and shit on for her efforts.

Watching it in a row after Bon Bon and Raid the Cave just sort of gives that part of the season a more depressing feel, like nothing's going right for Star. It stands out in that sense because even though it's not connected to the larger plot, it shows everything's starting to get worse for her even in smaller aspects of her life, and that sense continues more or less until the end of the season. Like "oh, they're really serious about this"

That said I don't think it's amazing or anything. But I think it's average, not the worst episode and don't see a reason to skip it if you're watching for the first time (unless you generally don't like the show and just want the "plot" stuff).

I got about 100, but main characters I'm lacking are Jeremy, Ponyhead, and Sensei. Rewatching episode 2 there's actually a scene where Ponyhead proves she can hold her own, so if she does more of that during Season 3 then she may redeem herself but right now she's sorta a shit character altogether. She acts like a black valley girl, but it's like they wanted a character that had that appeal but didn't actually want to depict that character physically so they used Ponyhead as a way to phone it. I also hate Ponyhead because she reminds me too much of real life.

Basically, I blame it on the fact that (if I remember right) my second and several other erections (first was the blueberry scene from the Charlie and the chocolate factory reboot) were to an episode of Wizards of Waverly Place where Selena Gomez's head inflated. Disney Channel seemed to rerun that episode quite a bit, so I had a lot of time to realize that it made me feel weird, but not entirely bad. Then, a couple years later I find actual inflation porn on DeviantArt, which obviously I like, but it wasn't until years of being a degenerate and seeing some art from artists who were into more obscure inflation sub-fetishes that I realized I really liked head inflation, along with a lot of other weird stuff. Really, "normal" inflation gets boring after a while, when you realize a lot of shitty artists just take a girl and make her a sphere with extremities and don't make any special effort.

As for it not being realistic in any way, that kind of comes with the territory. One of the main reasons people laugh at/fear the inflation community is because although it is possible IRL, the real-life effects are nothing like the art and are gruesome, even lethal. Being an inflationfag pretty much forces you to accept that your fetish is kind of weird, silly and impossible in real life without causing injury or death and I'm ok with that.

The first and main idea I had was for a lost episode/cut of an existing episode, where all of Sabrina's comedic injuries are much more serious and realistic (NOT "photorealistic", I hate when creepypastas pull that shit), but still played for laughs, culminating in her death/the desecration of her corpse. If I wrote it, I would want to leave it up for debate whether the episode actually had supernatural origins, or was perhaps just made by a depraved fan/crew member. But barely anyone seems interested and I've never written a creepypasta before, so I don't have much motivation to make it.

The other idea was kind of lame and not really a creepypasta at all, more on the tier of boring shit like r/nosleep. Basically the gist is that all the females in Sabrina's family are subject to a curse/supernatural entity that causes their bad luck and injuries, which only goes away when they birth another female child and is transferred to the youngest. To answer the question "well why doesn't she just not have any kids/only have a boy", I figured maybe that if one of them goes too long without passing it on, the "accidents" become more severe, eventually harming people around the victim, but never quite killing her. I don't know, this one just doesn't have the same luster, and doesn't even really feel slightly scary to me.

i think it's dumb because Star's the main character and had a severe lack of her own fighting scenes last season. Marco is important but the narrative is becoming more and more about Star and I don't need it to suddenly be about his struggle to save her (similarly the ending theme hypothetically having him singing would be dumb as well)

an alternate take on that which would've been the Hot Thing a year ago would be Star fighting Evil Marco. except the story's clearly moving toward a "dark" Star instead by now and evil Marco was retarded anyway

SO I guess the only way this scenario would work for me and not feel like shit fan fiction is Star having to struggle with herself over her dark side. I guess maybe she could end up hurting Marco in a way that's more serious/deliberate than knocking him off the skateboard that time

basically I like characters having agency and Star deserves greater focus now

Having her getting corrupted could work out, it's been shown that she's willing to use destructive magic when very envious. She could have an if I can't have you nobody can moment and hurt marco when she wasn't thinking.

Brainwashing to turn good guys against good guys is the definition of shitty zero effort forced drama.
It completely overwrites a character so writers don't have to bother setting up any legitimate conflict, then creates one with zero narrative weight behind it. There is no meaningful character drama or development because the characters have been forced into a conflict by forces beyond their control. They have no agency in the situation and the audience experiences no tension because they know this is not going to have any lasting impact on anything whatsoever.

Star is far from pure or perfect but if she ever really hurt Marco in anger she would immediately feel shock and regret, and at the same time it's hard to imagine anything Star could do that Marco wouldn't forgive her for.
This conflict is not going to happen. Either love will redeem her or Marco is sliding down the slippery slope with her.
