I have lots of projects that are in similar states of flux.
My most current and active is about a witch and her student that are wandering around from here to there going on adventures and getting magic lessons. It's fun to come up with very one-off ideas, that don't need much set up or follow through.
The older one I've been thinking the most about lately is a robot-noir crime mystery story. All the tech-designs would be those 50's esque retro-future type things, akin to Big O or Animatrix (specifically Second Renaissance). I've been thinking more and more that I'd want to draw and write this one all with hatching lines and stuff, but I haven't even started practicing. It just seems like a very cool style to do a story like that, and since most of the characters would be robots, I wouldn't have to be AS accurate for human anatomy and such.

I have a comic I'm working on, still in the sketching stages. I have a first chapter sketched out, but I want to finish sketching the nest part before I move on to doing the lineart/shading.

Yeah, that's a problem I have, I'm still working out some of the characters designs and will revise the art a bit when I finish these pages so hopefully I'll be able to make my girls look more distinct by the end of it

You're pretty spot on with that prediction. MC is brought back to life as a zombie, and has some SoL adventures with Goodlove as she tries to hook him up with his crush and hide his identity as a walking corpse. There's an overarching plot with Mc being hunted by mortician's daughter, dealing with an evil organization of grave-robbers, and falling in love with Goodlove, but I don't want to give it all away.

Eh, I planned out the whole story as a high school romance story that goes way off the rails, but still functions as a cute fluffy high school romance. Romance cliches were kind of part of the package.
