I really don't get why people dislike it, its probably my favorite episode in season 4, given that isn't saying much

I think some people don't care for Mystery Girl, which I get, but the episode really isn't about her

Its probably my 2nd favorite Pearl episode after Mr Greg, and Steven and Amethyst are just great in it, I love episodes when they really come off as bros/best friends

I remember people being happy that Bad Pearl was canon, and the ending was funny.
Only kinda bad thing I remember was people bitching about how tumblr mystery girl was.
But due to being hot and thicc, everyone got over it after the fanart started to roll in.

Mystery Girl could be a really interesting character for Pearl's development, I'm looking forward to seeing where they take it.

There's some controversy from people who think that Pearl is just using Mystery Girl as a replacement for Rose Quartz and the episode is proof that she's backsliding on her issues.

Personally, I didn't get that impression. Yeah, Pearl was attracted to her because they look the same, but she didn't ~treat~ them the same; the way she talked to her isn't the way she'd talk to Rose. It seems that she sees the girl as an interesting person that she'd like to get to know, rather than another Rose Quartz.

Plus, she's got some of her pride back, and is more comfortable talking to humans. I'd say her character is improving.
