Why did Ladybug blow up so much anyways? Everything about it is awkward.

it's boring and cliché
>Cute Japanese-French girl in a skintight body suit
>Cute blonde boy in a skintight body suit
Really anon? You can't see why?

It didn't. It bombed on Nickelodeon and is now spiraling the drain on Netflix.
The mainstream animation industry is pretty small, on the whole. When a new animated half-hour show makes its debut on any moderately popular network/service, it's gonna make its rounds and accumulate some form of fanbase.
Not sure how popular Ladybug is, but it's basically a French take on the magical-girl-anime genre. Personally, I think it's a fun show, but it's lacking a bit of depth. They should do more episodes like the Origins two-parter.

Careful, anon. Some guy might swoop in and write a small novel about how ratings don't count!
>>93598074
People were posting about it before it even debuted. They just liked the designs.

She's half Chinese not Japanese.
>>93598112
It didn't bomb on Nick. Nick gave it bad time slots and miss treated it. The show is kinda popular online.
>>93598074
It was suppose to be an anime or something.
>>93598074
It only bombed in America and the American market isn't that important if the cartoon is not American. It's nice to have, but you can easily make millions without it.

>French take on the magical-girl-anime genre
To be honest, I think Lolirock did it better.
>>93598349
Lolirock is much more magical girl than Miraculous
Miraculous is a mix of magical girl and super hero
also fun fact the creator of Miraculous helped work on Lolirock
>>93598157
ratings don't have anything to do with quality
but it is true that it was a smash hit literally everywhere else, so it seems pretty reasonable to blame Nick for its lesser popularity in the USA
It's simple is Diffrent, with some simple Romance and din't waste time in Love traingle and it has a tragedy them
i dont like it for idyllic portrayal or paris
>>93598801
it wouldn't be French if it didn't idealize Paris
that's like asking an American to write a story where democracy and freedom are bad things
>>93598074
How the fuck was the first reply anything but "pedophiles"?
>>93599129
Some people know how to have original thoughts. Not everyone thinks in memes like you.
>>93598148
Unless it's Canadian, in which case it has no real fanbase to speak of even if it's relatively decent.
>>93599200
the hell are you talking about, Total Drama has a massive and still active fan base

Have we seen her feet once yet?????
