With the same writing I would, but not if it was unsightly like the Ghost Writer arc. Comics are still a visual medium, after all, writing alone can't save the comic if the artist just shits on the page.

Read it recently because she a cute and I liked Gurihiru's art. I get that the writing is supposed to be quippy or whatever because, one, it's a Marvel book and that's what they do nowadays and two, Gwenpool is partly based on Deadpool, but the book has that same airy irreverent "omg look at this world it is so weird but so normal hahaha" style that I keep seeing out of Marvel nowadays.

Which, I will admit, I don't read much Marvel, but I mostly prefer writing with a little gravity.

Will give it points for making Batroc kinda interesting though.

Agreed. And honestly, I hope Gwenpool actually tackles harder stuff a little more. We've already had Gwen struggle and face consequences for her actions, but the story's ripe for some deeper storytelling.

The fact that we're getting the appearance of an evil Gwen, the promise of a story with Teddy, and Gwen possibly getting powers makes me think we'll be getting meatier stories in the future. Her stories have had some highs and lows, but I think the book's going to shape up.
