He's got stage 4 cancer. Not dead yet, but not much time left. Kinda sad since they said he was in remission.

He's as good as gone.
Cancer came back and it's in it's final stages, which means it's game over.
Also he was recovering from the latest surgery, but got some kind of an "persistent infection" and is back in the hospital.
Cancer treatment obliterates the immune system, so if he got some kind of a hospital bug, then this is basically it and I doubt that he'll be alive 2 weeks from now.
Might be better to go like that than suffer the prolonged fight with cancer and slowly wither away over the next months.
RIP in peace you magnificent bastard, you channeled too much meme energy for your human body to handle.
