No op you are not the only one who remembers it, if I can recall correctly this was during the anime to western influx of Saturday morning cartoons specifically on 4kids. I can't remember what station it was on but most likely 4kids or something like that, there was some really good shit back then like Di-Gata defenders or Chaotix.Also how come to this day no one has done anything like Chaotix?

I only saw a few episodes, but that was a fun show. At first I thought its premise was a stupid and shallow by-the-numbers gimmick, but it was executed fairly well. I liked the way they used clever tactics in the fight scenes.

Ok, from the limited information I have been able to gather, I am ruling that Spider Riders is Japanese/anime.

Canadians hired a Japanese studio (BeeTrain) to not only animate Spider Riders, but to adapt the original book for TV and direct the episodes. The Canadian company may have had some input on the adaptation and direction, but it was most likely very little. In other words, BeeTrain was commissioned to make an anime based on those spider books by a Canadian company that would then dub the anime and release it in the west.

Why do you think that? The original scripts were in Japanese, and the animation was done for the Japanese scripts/voice acting. That makes it Japanese. The English version is nothing more than a dub of a Japanese anime.
