I don't get why people are obsessed with shoving realism into capes.
Scarlet Witch is an on and off mutant/inhuman that can alter the fabric of reality when she has a mental breakdown. Is it so much harder to believe that she also has 5% body fat and rockin tits?

imagine how insulting it must feel to the original artists of these covers

How hard is it to maintain a healthy weight. Women should at least try to be skinnyfat but nope they can't control their eating habits.

Stop letting them get away with this shit. In a couple years every woman in America will be an obese tub of lard and think it's ok.

Oh this thread again.

Well let's just run this out real quick, then: the problem with these fat, useless fucks is that instead of attempting to improve themselves in any way, or better their appearance through work or discipline, they just want to lower the bar to accommodate what they are.

Instead of trying to be physically healthy, they're so self-centered that it's fucking more realistic to make everyone ELSE fat.

It is the norm, and your reasoning is bad.
When 36.5% of the US adult population is obese and ~33% are overweight, while this figure is rising, it becomes the norm.

>>93449178
I totally agree that realistically there'd probably be a long range of different body types in comics, but I think it's also ridiculous to say that everyone should look like this instead, because it's the norm. I think their bodies are totally up to their life styles, which aren't always so clear, though. It'd be boring from the readers perspective, but I think it'd be interesting to see what these comic book people actually eat or do to look the way they do.
>>
>>93449458

And that's how we go from being able to just ignoring these "fat acceptance" retards to screaming for the blood of everyone involved.

We already know what a "real world" Scarlet Witch would look like, and it's not like that.
>>
>>93451195
>I totally agree that realistically there'd probably be a long range of different body types in comics,

Realistically, maybe, but superheroes are the modern-day successor to the heroes of ancient myth and legend. They're supposed to look larger than life, the men are supposed to be impossibly muscular, the women are supposed to be impossibly beautiful.
>>
>>93449178

modern feminism is still processing its stance on certain issues such as pornography and breasts.

You'd think pornography would be a clear no-brainer for SJW-types to go after but you don't see much comment of it. As degrading as porn tends to be, it is a form of power that females have over males so feminists are careful to touch this issue. It doesn't help them that the porn business tends to be dominated by alpha male types and isn't as easily pushed over as, say, the IT industry's beta males who are doing "coding for girls" programs in 2017 as if this industry has magically held off from the 1960s sexual revolution despite other industries like the legal and medical professions being literally dominated by females within a single generation.

Breasts are similar, they are objects of power that women have over men but the simple fact is that they *are* designed for the male gaze, and anything intended for the male gaze is inherently evil. They're still trying to wrap their head around their philosphical stance here, are breasts evil or is it ok to use an evil artifact to fight the evil patriarchy?

For now, breasts are like a somewhat neutral country in a world war, they've been set aside for now but both sides consider them to questionable at best and will ultimately need to be dealt with as at least quasi-enemies. Feminists like to pretend that large breasts simply don't exist in the real world because it lets them bash male-gaze artwork, if large breasts didn't actually exist it'd be a lot easier for them to bash without hesitation.
>>
>>93451275
>are supposed to be impossibly beautiful
Even though I agree and I'm the biggest fan of a ''comic book body'', but still, who said it's supposed to be that way? Again, I love the way people look, especially when an artist has a great style, but totally get why some people are upset. Maybe a little bit of diversity in body types wouldn't hurt as long as it's true to the character's current life style.
>>
>>93451482
But that almost always does happen.
It's only shitty artists that don't do that.
>>
>>93451362
>modern feminism is still processing its stance on certain issues such as pornography and breasts.
What makes you think feminism has anything to do with the article or pictures? Let me make you look like an idiot
>Recovery.org, an organization that offers resources for people with mental health and/or substance abuse issues, is making those “perfect” bodies a little more realistic by “reverse photoshopping” illustrations of some of the most iconic superheroes. According to Recovery.org, “reverse photoshop” simply means reimagining what superheroes would look like “if their bodies matched the body of the average viewer” in the U.S.

Of course this doesn't change the fact that the name of the article is a clickbait

Well maybe if we demanded females acts to bulk up (we don't) then she would do it as well. But guess what, we aren't demanding it. So they don't bulk up

That's news to me. You don't find the fact that the girl was literally commissioned by an investment firm while the bull was self-funded by a Sicilian immigrant to be just a little bit ironic? Do you think the original artist has a right to be upset that his message of economic prosperity and resilience has been transformed into one of corporate misogyny?

>And lets not forget that the bull was unofficially installed there.

Not really no but I imagine that some people would see the bull the same way they see graffiti. Sure the artist will say it's art but that's not what the rest might think
