I write shipping fanfiction. I've gotten into shows for the shipping and written fics for shows I haven't watched.

I don't like Pixar at all. I think Toy Story 1 is fine and can't stand everything else.

I've been writing Steven Universe fanfiction as a way to deal with my gripes with the way the story is going. My confession is that I'm tired of depression shit
I actively get mad at depressed people and such. Playing Persona 5, I hated Futaba with such a passion and seeing these comics boils me with rage.
The reason is that even when I had (and maybe still have) depression, I'm tired of tolerating people and friends who also suffer depression pushing me back instead of letting me move foward. That goes for my current girlfriend, who I hate for these reason, but can't break with because she's the closest person I have in my life and helps me feel alive, even tho' half the time she's a fucking toxic influence and a cunt.

Depression is a fucking meme. It has been over a decade since I was diagnosed with depression and I'm pretty much over it ('it' is probably some sort of stress induced neuron-immunological inflammation response, nothing to do with 'muh chemicals'). It is trivially solved by simple fucking life style changes like getting a little bit of sun each day, exercising a minimal amount, eating like a human being, and actually doing something productive.

The biggest road block to solving my problems was not wanting to admit what had plagued me and wasted years of my life was trivial. People don't want to face this because it means accepting that it really is sort of your fault and its embarrassing how truly pathetic the whole thing is.

Yeah, the whole body is made of chemicals. If you only look at it at that level of analysis you'll miss out on the bigger picture. The newest research on depression links it to stress chemicals, I forget the name of the chemical... ketones or something? But you can fairly reliably measure if a highly depressed individual is about to commit suicide by measuring the levels of these chemicals in their blood.

The difference here is that their is actually a theoretical casual pathway between something going on with your stress systems and immune system and the symptomology of depression. On the research on neurotransmitters has effectively been stalled for the past two decades, this is where we get the reductive and circular reasoning behind depression being a 'chemical imbalance'. Oh, wait, it doesn't work very well except in patients with extremely severe depression and even then we aren't sure what the SSRI's are actually doing.

I've called it the TVTropes effect, where the only thing people get out of a creative work of art are the broad strokes "tropes" that can be found without trying to understand the nuances in the stories themselves and think simply adding a reference to another story is in any way "creative".

Korra was alright. It wasn't the best thing, it wasn't as good as TLA, but it was above average for cartoons so it was fine by me. I liked most of the characters and the theme the villains all had. The lesbian relationship was just an add-on but I don't care because it's not important. The relationships were poorly done teen drama, but I didn't watch TLA for the awkward aang and katara scenes. Dominic Deegan is unironically my favorite webcomic. I was active in the forums, emailed regularly with the creator and donated nearly every month he worked on it for the wallpapers. I own every book, a scarf and would cosplay Dominic at cons.
