IF we go for the TTGO designs, they are mostly JL Bruce Timm desgins, with some bits from other sources.

So Aquman is in the traditional orange sacly costume, while the rest of the heroes are more similar to the JLU counterparts.

It is supported by the Speedy cameo on JLU, so the designs and universe is probably similar, just with more japanese reactions in it.
