What does the premise of Lincoln being one boy with 10 sisters

There's some weird unspoken rule that whenever there's a show or story with a family with some ridiculous number of siblings, they must all be the same gender except for one, who's almost invariably the youngest, oldest, or middle child.

Yes making them tomboy or have off-beat personalities that aren't gender oriented lessens the extreme you can that such a premise to but the premise is just a hook. You hear the show is the middle child in a huge family of sisters you get a little more curious than a family of 5 boys, 5 girls because it SOUNDS more interesting, meanwhile having the tomboys and offbeat sisters mean you have a wider field of characters to use instead of doing 10 dedicated female archtypes and run the risk of redundancy.

Story-wise, he'd be better off. Plots and comedy in this are weak as fuck and cringe levels fluctuate from low to moderate, almost never falling to comfy. I'm in it solely for the waifus, 34 context and to see Lincoln suffer. The show is more child oriented than MLP, I can totally see kids enjoying it, but there's no way an adult can enjoy this on it's own without supplementing the experience with fan content and discussion.

More like because big families isn't something that happens outside of 3rd world shitholes anymore. Besides it would either need to be pure sap, or gritty bullshit with drugs and teen pregnancies. Being a lighthearted family show that also tackles real problems in a kid-friendly but without dumbing them down or sterilizing them is apparently forbidden now. Whether it's because of the moralfags who will lose their shit if their kid gets real information about the world or executives who decided it doesn't sell as well I don't know.

It's the word people use when they refer to a type of comedy that is laidback, easy-going, and whose premises aren't about crazy space, magic, and fantasy adventures but are just about the little problems at home.

Something like Family Guy isn't comfy because it's too aggressive in its humor. Simpsons isn't comfy because it's far too clever, crazy and referential with its humor. Fairly Oddparents and Spongebob aren't comfy because they're out of the ordinary situations.

But King of the Hill and Loud House are comfy because the episodes are as simple as, "Trying to get out of going to an event you're not in the mood for" and the humor is simplistic and easy to get. Look at the difference in humor between Homer going, "Why you LITTLE!" and Hank going, "That boy ain't right". That latter is what it means to be "comfy".

Though I do agree people abuse it too often. Bee and Puppycat, We Bare Bears, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, and Summer Camp Island are not fucking comfy.

No, "comfy" means relaxing. Usually this is adventure with light comedy and low stakes. That is why Scooby-Doo and Archie are usually described as peak comfy. There are many better comedy adventures, but most of them get you too excited and invested to properly enjoy the comfiness.

But Nickelodeon shows just gave up on older audiences and went full kiddy with their humor. Which is especially bad from an adult perspective because Nick shows are very comedy-based. I don't think so. There's a ton of slice of life cartoons/animes that have huge elements of fantasy and magic to them. Slice of life is usually stories revolving around day-to-day stuff like school, work, hanging out, growing up, etc but some shows like to throw in magic elements throw into the genre to mix it up. "What's it like to go to school with normal kids but you're also part wizard" kind of stuff. I wouldn't say that because of the magic that it isn't slice of life, but SoL with a twist.

Slice of Life is realistic depictions of everyday happenings, not simply having everyday happenings. Otherwise that'd make every sitcom a slice of life.
And usually such fantasy elements are in the background, or are depicted in a very mundane fashion. Thus, realistic depiction to the context of the show.

You know the answer, it's very simplistic and I have to give credit where credit is due to Savino. Yes, you really could have five of his siblings be gender swapped and nothing would change, hell Lynn acts like a fucking guy half the time. But the show isn't a SOL thing like HA; it's actually a 'girlie' show that's actually aimed towards the creepy twenty something neckbeard crowd who devoured MLP and to a lesser extent, Gravity Falls.

Don't believe me? Look at the fanart. It's virtually all of the sisters and nameless background characters who are virtually all female. Then there's the character of Lincoln himself as he's... Not much of one at all. He's got some nerdy interests, a black best friend, and is so painfully generic and average as possible much like a harem protagonist from a bad anime.

And that's the thing. Lincoln is a vehicle for any pathetic lonely neckbeard to insert themselves into. And the sisters themselves aren't very distinct either. They're also very simplistic and predictable in their behavior so their weird fanbase doesn't get intimidated like they do with girls in real life. It's a stroke of genius on Savino's part for seeing that the bronies were dying out and creating a valid successor, but it's just such a waste.

It's based off newspaper clippings and you can see it in the air bubbles and the static backgrounds, hell my man Bluto even showed up at one point. Half the sisters are unneeded (hell, all you need is Lola really), one note characters appear so often and so frequently I swear they were the cast for a better show that got shelved, hell I swear the original Clyde is one of the chumps in Lincoln's school and we got the shitty concept. There's a better cartoon somewhere in LH and we get glimpses of it, but Savino buried that. Do I judge? No, not for making money-but I can call him a sick fuck for browsing the Booru for Lynncoln shite every night.
