It's not happening, make your peace with it.
Last year was peak cape movie shitposting and they didn't do anything then, they're not going to do anything now. Mostly because /tv/ would flip out about a small board like us being catered to when they've been asking for a "capeshit" board for years.

Best you can hope is that they at least respect the rules that exist and ban /tv/ shit that isn't based on a comic even if it does have comics (Transformers, Power Rangers, Godzilla, ...). Even expecting only one thread to be allowed per movie is asking too much, /co/ isn't moderated heavily enough for that. I mean the couple of times a /tv/ crossposter posts a BLACKED thread with an explicit image as OP it usually stays for 30-45 minutes.
>>
>If I lead off all my shitposting threads with "Hiro said," they won't get deleted!
>>
>>93321589

Why? This board literally has more people who appreciate comics than any other on the site, why not allow comic book movies that are live action?
>>
>>93322210
Because they're movies, not comics or cartoons.
>>
>>93321589
That's not what meta means idiot
>>
>>93322277
what about CGI movies? The blend of CGI and live action is growing.
>>
>>93322210
Because the idiots at /tv/ would whine about it between their cross burnings and lynchings.
>>
>>93322277
Comics are a combination of illustrations and narrative literature, making them /i/ and /lit/.
Comic book movies are just adding /tv/ into the mix. It's still /co/.
>>
>>93322367
What are you on about? /tv/ wants to have the live action cape movies here.
>>
>>93322072
He'll live forever so long as you'll cowards don't even smoke crack.
>>
>>93322400
>making them /i/ and /lit/.

But they aren't /i/ and /lit/. We don't go to /i/ and /lit/ to talk about comics because they don't belong there. So why the hell should /tv/ belong here?
>>
>>93322403
>/tv/ wants to have the live action cape movies here.
Someone doesn't remember the /film/ fiasco.
>>
>>93322403
>/tv/ wants
nah, they just want to keep posting nigger dicks
>>
>>93322432
It's how it's always been. Adaptations of /co/ works are /co/, supposedly because originally a large enough number of people here wanted to talk about them and it was semi-relevant to the board. Basically the same reason 3 drawfags generals are allowed depsite /i/ and /ic/ existing.
>>
Merge us with /a/. The strong will survive.
>>
Mods are pissy faggots who won't let me call people nigger on this board, but for some reason only this board.

What's up with that?

>/pol/ shitposts, gets said shitposts deleted &/or banned, then acts like they run /co/

>>
>>93322647

They don't deserve any good thing.
>>
No matter how many times you ask, it isn't gonna happen.
>>
Why bother having these threads? Neither Hiro nor the mods ever look at them.
>>
>>93322647
They actually enforce rule 3
>You will not post any of the following outside of /b/: Trolls, flames, racism, off-topic replies, uncalled for catchphrases, macro image replies, indecipherable text (example: "lol u tk him 2da bar|?"), anthropomorphic ("furry") or grotesque ("guro") images, post number GETs ("dubs"), or loli/shota pornography.
>>
>>93322788
no they don't, they sporadically and selectively enforce parts of it.
>>
>>93322764
Also, just about all the "brilliant ides" are really stupid and detrimental.
>>
>>93322823

Yes, one thread. And every board had their one thread already. Hiro wasn't giving people a pass to create meta threads repeatedly.

Fuck, this board is retarded.
>>
>>93322277

They're movies based on comics. /v/ discusses movies based on video games and no one bats an eye.
>>
>>93322880

Someone complained to Hiro about how mods were deleting threads talking about the board and it was getting annoying. Hiro responded with the OP pic.

The solution to getting rid of any type of thread is the Dobson-Carnevale maneuver. Just pick a category of pictures, save a ton of them, and flood the thread with them. Granted, it would be a herculean effort for getting rid of the live action threads, and many anons would be banned in the process, but I salute you.
>>
>>93322950
You're just going to concentrate their autism.

I say we move them to /trash/.
>>
>>93322788
Speaking of Global Rule 3, the "No Furry" clause really needs to be retired, especially since it disproportionately screws over /co/ since a very large segment of /co/ content technically violates that rule
>>
>>93322974
We'd need several anons dedicated to the idea.
>>
>>93322941
>That's not what happened you retard.
Yes, it is. It's also cute how you think mods or Hiro give a single fuck about what you faggots suggest. They don't, and even if your suggestions weren't complete dog shit, they still wouldn't. How many times has OP made this thread, anyway? At least a dozen?
>>
In regards to the Out of Placers threads getting deleted, if comics, cartoons, or webcomics containing anthro characters are no longer allowed on /co/, please update the sticky to reflect as such.

Otherwise, how about doing something about the mod/janitor who keeps deleting on-topic threads?
>>
>>93323011
Is it even enforced these days on /co/? It doesn't seem to be except if you go super lewd with it.
>>
>>93323060
I've seen clean official artwork get deleted. Chochi's been banned a few times for fully clothed images. It's selectively enforced, like most rules on 4chan.
>>
>>93322597
This. Just as a test we should fuse with /a/ for a few days.
>>
>>93323045
Oh, and don't pretend like this is the first time the mod team has heard of any of this either, I've gone on IRC and made many reports through the Feedback page.
>>
>>93323060
It depends from what I've seen, Disney/Warner Bros stuff is so widely known and popular that trying to clamp down on it would be difficult. More obscure stuff, particularly webcomics from what I've seen, get shitcanned pretty quickly even when the "furry" stuff is at best a background element and not the focus of the plot, like Endtown.
>>
This is why they got rid of /qa/ nothing worthwhile ever comes out of these and retards spout dumb ideas for how to "fix" boards without understanding how any of it actually works behind the scenes.
>>
>>93323011
You'd just be asking for Rule 15 to be removed as well since by your logic, it also disproportionately screws over /co/ since parodies of ponies in shows like LPS and MAD TV also get deleted because of it, as well as the hypocrisy of deleting them based on people getting triggered by them on a site that the mods have themselves claimed "isn't a site for the easily triggered".
>>
>>93323081
>Chochi
Yeah that seems really close to basically just being a thread for people to fap to, even if the characters are fully clothed.
I know it's allowed for non-furry but honestly if I had any power I'd move that shit to /aco/.
>>
>>93323060
The mod(s) nested in the drawthread enforces it all the time.
>>
>>93322597
>>93323101

>>
>>93322597

>>
>>93323146
>fully clothed, people will fap to it anyways, better delete
By this logic we can't have ANY images on the fucking board. Does this mean we can't post Cho since most of his work is lewd by nature?
>>
>>93323146
Slightly related, I've storytimed a book with nudity once and was not banned, but people who specifically ask for nudity are just asking for trouble.
Of course, this is a blue board, so there is always the chance of getting banned for posting nudity.
>>
>>93321589

GIVE TOONFAGS THEIR OWN BOARD! Please... it's embarrassing sharing a board with them and their million different low-effort shitposts clog up the catalog.
>>
>>93323156
I'd be down for that but we'd get out(shit)posted pretty damn quickly so I wouldn't want it to stick.

Not sure about cheating on the wife though.
>>
>>93323195
I've seen storytimes with nudity survive the archives without the offending images getting deleted. It's 100% subjectively enforced. The deciding factor appears to be if it makes a mod feel funny in their pants or not.
>>
>>93323191
There are degrees, but I guess you still make a fair point.
>>93323195
Yeah as a Euro I've been used to some nudity in comics, it's just there's a difference between nudity and basically porn.

I think it just has to do with the quality of the posts rather than the topic itself, so if the mods banned the /tv/ shitposters everything would be fine.
>>

>Brings up /pol/ telling lies
>Lies gets corrected

>>
>>93323016
Yep, but like all shitposting, one person just has to keep at it until bandwagoners jump on. Since summer is in effect it really shouldn't be that hard.
I filter the threads so it doesn't matter to me either way.
>>
>>93323265
I understand fully. I agree the mods should be on the lookout for veiled threads. A thread created solely to discuss a webcomic shouldn't be targeted and treated as such, just because anthro characters are involved. That's just a lame combo of "STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE" and a power trip.
>>
>>93323011
There is a big difference between "Cartoon characters that are animals" and "Furries"
>>
>>93323434
So what is it? Because that's one point of contention that never seems to be agreed on.
>>
>>93323483
Most people consider "Furry" to be sparkledog shit that only exists for the purpose of porn and fetish shit. Most people consider anthro characters to be any sort of talking animal (animal to human-like) from cartoons or comics.

The mods consider anthro characters to be any sort of talking animal (animal to human-like) from Warner Brothers, Disney, Pixar, Marvel, or DC comics or cartoons. The mods consider "furry" to be any sort of talking animal (animal to human-like) from anywhere that isn't one of those five.
>>
Gus why the fuck are we pretending live action is the problem? The problem is that off topic threads about current events can get to 500+ posts without a mod or janitor even considering it get deleted. can we ban waifu and lewd threads for christ sake?

waifu threads are not discussion of any kind other than people jerking about fictional characters. its pathetic. send this garbage to /bant/ or give it its own board or something. Being in love with a character doesnt contribute or add anything to this board. Its the kind of garbage I'd expect to see in a deviantart forum or an anime convention.

and the "cheesecake" threads are just fucking redundant when we have an entire board dedicated to western lewds >>>/aco/. take all that shit there for god sake, they could probably use the traffic. All their threads are just outright porn and once in a very blue moon someone will storytime something you cant here.

I swear half the people on this board are more pathetic than the schizos and roleplayers on /x/. I'd rather see people arguing about /pol/ shit than another "why is she so perfect?" or "this is y saying something nice about y" thread
>>
>>93325129
The main issue with waifufagging is that it leads to retards defending something shitty even if they don't care just because it relates to their waifu

>>

I think it /should/ work like this;
Threads for movies and shows of /co/ adaptions are fine (Transformers capeshit etc.)
Threads for movies and shows adapted into /co/ are not (Godzilla, Power Rangers) unless explicitly discussing the adaption.
Talking about Godzilla on /co/ and meekly hiding behind an OP picture and saying "B-But it does have a comic you know!" shouldn't be allowed.

And I say this as someone who enjoys /co/ Godzilla threads.
