They're not. Don't go expecting early season quality. I honestly think they're still pretty good nonetheless and are worth a watch.

pretty much happens when people just expect the show to recover to god-tier early season quality right off the bat like >>93315006. Hillenburg only recently returned to the show, it's not instantly going to be what it once was. I'd say give it more time to develop and find its footing, otherwise you're setting yourself up for failure and disappointment.

I just watch it with an open mind and not hoping it will touch the bar the original seasons set for the series, and had a good time watching them.

because for reviewers like mr enter, screaming about spongebob and ttg is the cool thing to do and gives them views and other wannabe reviewers are following the trend
not to mention that spongebob is such an easy target and punching bag for criticism and that half assed spongebob rants are easy to make
