The real story is even worse.

America accidently teleports back in time in the middle of a giant WW2 battle. While talking to Capt America she notices Hitler is behind him.
So she punches out Hitler and feels like she helped save the day. THEN, instead of grabbing hold of Hitler (who is in the middle of the battlefield for reasons) a couple of Germans soldier escort them off the field like he was an old man who fell over. Capt America then scolds America for ruining weeks of planning (what plan that couldn't now be implimented cause Hitler's jaw is hurt ? not explained).
