>PART 4 - THE TRASFORMRS MEETS THE AVENGMERS
When Megatron escalates the war on Earth, the Autobots might have to get help from Earth's mightiest heroes*. But in space, the ancient warrior Galvatron and Autobot leader Optimus Prime have their own business to deal with...

Nice Guidi art in this one.

Hi there, so I really want to start reading and getting into IDW. And MTE. Where could I go to find the comics online or perhaps buy them?

Up next: Optimus Prime has to deal with the fact that he borrowed his name from a line of shitheads.
Btw, back in the last thread with the stuff happening in Brasnya, that's also where (spoilers)the ship carrying the Eukarians that were brainwashed into being Hearts of Steel-esque Autobots landed.
This isn't really a storytime of pain. More like a storytime of mediocrity.
This cover is, honest-to-god, one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
According to John Barber, all the Avengers canonically died in All Hail Megatron. Carol-haters, I hope you're happy.
Alright, gonna take a bit of a break, and when I come back we'll start on the G.I. Joes, which happens roughly parallel with these early minis.
These are awesome Buck. Thanks.

If you wanna buyfag like me, get The IDW Collection volumes. They're pretty cheap on Amazon for their size, and theres a lot of'em.
>>93267411
Thank you.
>>93266667
Did that fat guy on the cover eat Wolverine? Is the Blob subbing in for him?
Alright, change of plans - rather than GI Joe next, I'm doing Megatron Origin. >>93269410

>oh look, Spotlight Ramjet
Thanks for wasting potential in one issue, IDW, due to your death happy bullshit.
>>93270077
They really did just Ultimate Universe him, didn't they? "It's an AU, so he's expendable".
>>93270388
IDW in general is really fucking kill-happy with the TF's. Even important or big name ones bite it all the damn time. It's one of my few problems with the series, they just can't hold off on their urge to just kill characters at random.
>>93270467
What do you suppose happened to the Avengers in IDWverse? I suppose they had a Civil War right after and it ended up the same way in 616, Cap being "killed" and the ranks weakened, allowing Megatron to take over New York in All Hail Megatron.
>>93271956
I suppose they fucked off back to their own universe because crossovers like this are never really canon no matter what anyone says, because they clearly don't fit within the universe as it stands.
Plus, y'know, when you've got motherfuckers like Thor or The Hulk possibly hanging around, "lol they all somehow died" probably isn't gonna cut it as an explanation to how Megs got to run around free and kill like 2 billion people and torch half of the Earth. TF's may be big and strong, but I'm guessing even the biggest ones running around in the TF-verse at the time of AHM aren't going to be strong enough to actually deal with half of the crazy shit running around in Marvel.

>Yeah. I figure they died in All Hail Megatron. I mean, they still exist in the Marvel Universe!
>>93272162
To be fair, we've got no confirmation that Hulk or Thor actually exist in this universe...
>>93272402
>To be fair, we've got no confirmation that Hulk or Thor actually exist in this universe...
Dr. Doom does though, and he's always able to pull shit that would probably make the TF's look tame.
tl;dr It's probably best to just ignore crossovers with non-IDW materials for continuity purposes. They clearly don't fit in well or at all.
>>93272162
I would've just said it's noncanon but the thing is that the Ramjet Spotlight follows up on it. The only thing we have to go on in the crossover is who showed up and what they reference.
>Plus, y'know, when you've got motherfuckers like Thor or The Hulk possibly hanging around, "lol they all somehow died" probably isn't gonna cut it as an explanation to how Megs got to run around free and kill like 2 billion people and torch half of the Earth.
I thought this too, but on the other hand, back in the 80's it used to be implied that DOFP era Sentinels could kill Hulk, Ghost RIder, and Doctor Doom. You could probably just say they didn't get all the power creep 616 did over the decades or something.
>>93272402
It's kind of weird because my first thought would be they all died, too, but I don't buy Wolverine being killed off that easily unless the IDW version was like Claremont/Byrne-era Wolverine and could be killed by a Sentinel blast.

>ZOUNDS!
>Nice!

Got the "You're all fucked when the Hulk gets back" one by any chance?
>>93275315
Damn, I was hoping someone had it. Oh well.
>>93266667
How did Marvel ever allow that cover? That Wolverine looks terrible.
>>93278216
For the same reason they allow half the shit they have the past 10 or so years: No quality control on the comics side. It's all been on the movie side.
>>93270077
Its ramjet who cares
>>93278769
It's also a drastic departure from Ramjet's only real previous portrayal, as a dumb guy who hits things with his head.
