The shorts themselves carry their own message simply by existing as contrasts of each other. The first is rugged and scratchy made from seemingly pen and paper with a similarly sincere message. The second is a bright, fluid and grating. a bastardization of everything that went right in the first one. The first short was what came off as a labor of love. The unrefined doodles of a creative mind taking form of a charming conversation between a son and a father. The second short is a group effort that tried to emulate the first with a 'random', 'wacky' art style that is completely devoid of any charm. The masses are truly asses.
