Nah... Trying to immortalize themselves in a medium that they did not create and interfere with the artistic direction so they can feel good about themselves is pretty pretentious to me.

I don't like either, but Animal Man's ending is childishly simple but acts like its deep. Morrison writes himself into the story so that he can tell Buddy ( and the reader) the point of the story.

The Coyote Gospel was better in every way and it was the same story told in a single issue. I really enjoyed Animal Man up until Deus Ex Machina, but fuck that ending.

Fill-in artist. A fill-in is when they need to get an artist to do an issue or two so the main artist would have more time to do their own arc. A guest artist is when an artist is specifically sought out to do an issue for one reason or another, such as if they're a big name draw or their style would be particularly well suited to that particular issue or arc.

When Natashi Allegri did that issue of Hellcat, she was a guest artist. When pretty much anyone besides Gurihiru has done an issue of Gwenpool, it's been fill-in artists.
